This article contains major spoilers for the Demon Slayer series.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 reignited fans' interest in this series, especially in the star of the show — Akaza. Akaza is one of Muzan’s strongest, as his Upper Rank Three demon, and he took center stage in this movie, so much so that it was named after him. While Giyu and Tanjiro didn’t manage to kill him even after a long and intense battle, there are other characters in Demon Slayer that could take him on and defeat him singlehandedly. These characters include superior demons, such as Muzan, but also humans, like Yoriichi.

Gyomei

The Stone Hashira

It’s highly debatable if any Hashira can take down one of the top three demons of Muzan’s army singlehandedly. It’s never been seen in action, but if there’s one Hashira who has a shot to singlehandedly take down Akaza, it would definitely be Gyomei, the Stone Hashira.

Gyomei is the strongest and the most experienced Hashira. At his peak, he unlocks his Demon Slayer mark, the bright red Nichirin, and even the transparent world. With all of these abilities, Gyomei definitely has a shot in a 1vs1 with Akaza.

Nakime

The Upper Rank Four

Nakime is a rank under Akaza, holding the title of Upper Rank 4. However, that doesn’t mean she would necessarily lose against him. Nakime has the most broken blood demon art in Demon Slayer - the Infinity Castle. Nakime can create this gigantic structure, and fully control it.

Akaza wouldn’t even be able to get close to her, and Nakime could even teleport him out into the sun if she wanted to. Nakime also has a major advantage against Akaza, and that is the fact that she's a woman, and Akaza wouldn’t even try to harm her anyway.

Doma

The Upper Rank 2

Doma introduces himself to Shinobu - Demon Slayer

Doma was the Upper Rank 2 Demon, a rank above Akaza. Despite that, many debate whether Doma really deserves that spot over Akaza. The truth is, Doma was definitely the stronger one out of the two.

Akaza might have had more potential, but his growth was halted by his remaining humanity, such as his full refusal to eat women. It would be a close fight between the two, but Doma would come out on top.

Kokushibo

The Upper Rank 1

Kokushibo's six eyes - Demon Slayer

When it comes to Muzan’s demon army, Kokushibo stands tall as his very strongest subordinate. Kokushibo is definitely the most terrifying demon around, and he is on a far superior level to Akaza.

Kokushibo is the Upper Rank 1 for a reason, and his skills with Moon Breathing, as well as his insane regeneration, put him at a huge advantage against every demon except Muzan.

Muzan

The Demon King

Muzan is known as the Demon King, and the reason for that is obvious. Muzan is the father of all demons, and he is the strongest of all those who wield demonic powers. Muzan was the one to give Akaza his demon powers, and he could easily kill him.

Muzan is simply on a different level when compared to the other demons. To put that into perspective, fans should remember that he can’t even be beheaded due to how good his regeneration is.

Demon King Tanjiro

The Strongest Demon Ever

Anime only fans have yet to meet the strongest demon ever, and that, surprisingly, is not actually Muzan, but Demon King Tanjiro. At the end of Demon Slayer, Tanjiro almost turns into the next demon king to carry on Muzan’s legacy, but his transformation is stopped by Nezuko and Kanao.

Nevertheless, Demon King Tanjiro, even though he never got the opportunity to bring terror to the Demon Slayer world, would absolutely demolish Akaza, and with ease.

Yoriichi

Demon Slayer’s Strongest Character Ever

If there’s one character in Demon Slayer that can stand up to any challenge and win, it’s, undoubtedly, Yoriichi. Yoriichi is the uncontested strongest character in Demon Slayer. His strength is such that he almost managed to kill Muzan, until the latter escaped him. Muzan was so scared of Yoriichi that he hid until his death. An opponent like Akaza would be down in seconds against Yoriichi.
