It’s no secret that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 — Akaza’s Return was absolutely massive. The movie first came out in July, but only in Japan. The movie dropped globally subsequently over two months, and it goes without saying that the theaters were packed everywhere to watch it. This movie has been received tremendously well, and the quality was of such a high level that most fans watched it multiple times.

While fans certainly did enjoy rewatching the movie in theatres, it can be quite taxing as well as expensive. To remedy that, fans were definitely looking forward to the online release of the movie on platforms like Crunchyroll to be able to stream it at home.

However, recently, the Executive Vice President at Crunchyroll, Mitchel Berger, delivered some bad news to the fans who were looking forward to online streaming. In an interview with Popverse, Mitchel Berger says fans who want to watch this movie in 2025 will have to do so in theaters. Those looking to stream this movie have to wait quite some time, until 2026. This is quite a long wait, especially as the exact 2026 release date isn't clear either. Clearly, the movie is too big to make it available on streaming right now, as that could undermine some more earnings it could make over the course of the remainder of 2025.

With most fans being so impressed with Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’s first movie, they're wondering when Part 2 and Part 3 will drop. Right now, it’s too early to get the exact release dates, but reports suggest that Infinity Castle Part 2 is set for a release in 2027, and Part 3 two years after that, that is, 2029. In other words, the wait is still very long, so fans will have to steel themselves.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 is available in theatres right now. Fans who don’t want to wait for the movies to drop can check the manga out on Manga Plus. Meanwhile, for the anime, the series currently has 4 anime seasons. These anime seasons can all be found on Crunchyroll. The remaining part of the series will, however, be animated into movies, which fans will have to wait for their theatrical release to watch, depending on their country.
