Things have reached the point where Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is competing with live-action movies like Superman. In fact, it has already supplanted it. However, Demon Slayer's latest project has one major downside.

The next movie is expected to be released in 2027, meaning there will not be any new content for a while. So fans will either have to rewatch old anime seasons or movies. Demon Slayer fans can also dabble in the manga and read beyond to learn what happens in the Infinity Castle arc.
Alternatively, they can watch other series to fill the void. Some of the alternatives to Demon Slayer include Solo Leveling, My Hero Academia, One Piece, and Jujutsu Kaisen. All these titles have plenty of action and excellent stories. So, they are bound to keep viewers busy for at least the next few months.

Considering the first movie was in production for 3.5 years, it is safe to assume that the next project won't be released until late 2027. It's certainly a long wait, but it makes the most sense, as it will give ufotable enough time to get the production done without any hiccups.
Ufotable has set an extremely high standard with Akaza's Return, which is why fans expect the next movie to be just as good, if not better. In order to achieve such a high level, the studio's staff will have to put in a great deal of effort, which is not easy. The staff members need enough time so that they don't have to work overtime. The anime industry already has a reputation for having long working hours, low wages, and bad conditions. Hopefully, ufotable avoids doing such a thing and maintains a healthy production schedule.

Presently, there is no indication that a fifth season of Demon Slayer will happen, as the studio is busy finishing the remainder of the Infinity Castle trilogy. There's no doubt that Demon Slayer fans would love to see another season of the anime, but not at the cost of jeopardizing the movie trilogy. Even the staff members at ufotable would prefer doing just one thing at a time.
While Demon Slayer's fifth season may not be happening in the next few years, there is no doubt that ufotable will work on it once the trilogy is over. After all, the studio did the same with the Mugen Train arc. The movie was a resounding success at the box office, yet the studio still released it in the regular format. Clearly, it's not an alien idea for ufotable, so it would be unwise to rule out the possibility of the fifth season happening in the future.
When the fifth season is ultimately announced, fans can expect it to be released around 2030 (provided the final movie is released in 2029). The studio will likely wait for the last movie to premiere in every single region before deciding on a possible release date for the fifth season.
