With the movie having dropped in North American theatres only recently, it goes without saying that it will only grow in popularity and set more records in the upcoming weeks. Of course, Infinity Castle Part 1 was absolutely sensational, but it was only the appetizer for the true finale of the Demon Slayer series. Right now, all eyes are on Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2, and fans know that the movie has the potential to do even better, especially given the characters that will be involved in it.

For now, no official updates have been provided on Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 2, but recently, Crunchyroll officially gave the fans a release date update, squashing some rumors along the way. According to Crunchyroll CEO, the release dates for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 and Part 3 have not been made official yet, and that goes on to confirm that every release date that's been floating around the internet is just a rumor, and nothing more.

This also means that work on Infinity Castle Part 2 has likely not begun yet. Fans would've heard something about the release date, or at least the production, had Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 been actively worked upon at the moment.

Well, we’ve announced that it will be a trilogy of movies, but our partners at Aniplex and Ufotable haven’t decided on dates yet. But look, there’s definitely urgency for all of us to bring more Demon Slayer to fans as soon as we can — because we know the urgency is there among the fanbase.

Given the fact that work on the next Demon Slayer movie hasn't even begun yet, it is safe to say that fans won't be seeing Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 in 2026. Based on the comments of the Crunchyroll CEO, it is clear that they understand the urgency among the fans, and they won't be made to wait for too long either. As such, the best and most likely release date for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 would be 2027.

Demon Slayer is out in theatres right now. Fans who don’t want to wait for the movies to drop can check out the manga on Manga Plus. Meanwhile, for the anime, the series currently has four seasons, all available on Crunchyroll. The remaining story will, however, be adapted into movies, which fans will have to wait to watch during their theatrical releases, depending on their country.
