Players have always been able to purchase various weapons from Banshee, though typically his selections don't include anything too wild. The rarest and most powerful of weapons tend to be obtained through all kinds of endgame activities, though Banshee has long played a part in helping players obtain certain exotic weapons in Destiny 2. While he doesn't simply hand such treasures out for free, he has proven instrumental in fixing up certain quest-related exotics over the years, including The Lament sword.
