However, Icarus Dash is only useful for parkour segments, and using the beloved Wellskating, which will have Warlocks shooting off like a star.

Whilst gliding, players can fire weapons, melee, and throw grenades, but they will first need a grenade to consume to activate Heat Rises. Upon activation, players will receive the Cure buff for themselves and allies, and final blows during this airborne period will increase the duration of Heat Rises and provide melee energy, which in turn can create some truly powerful stacks with the right Exotics. However, players will be rather vulnerable in the air.

If players use Knock ‘Em Down whilst radiant, their equipped Throwing Knife final blows will refund melee energy.

Sometimes, one grenade just won’t do, and Gunpowder Gamble is the perfect response to that. If players get 5 kills with Solar abilities, debuffs, or Solar weapons, then they can charge up the Gunpowder Gamble grenade, which can be thrown like a normal grenade but shot in mid-air to cause ignition and other powerful buffs. It’s great for keeping enemies down and out for the count, so long as players don’t accidentally shoot this highly powerful explosive too close, as it can, and will, kill.

Activating a charged melee ability whilst sliding will send forth a wave of Solar energy, which damages and Scorches targets within the path as players leap back to the air. This can also be activated whilst airborne, to slam into the ground and create a second and larger wave of Solar energy. Scorched targets are Ignited, and death is assured, but pulling it off can be rather tricky, and there are alternate uses for a charged melee that will keep healing going, so Consecration isn’t the best.
