Players who haven't yet experienced Destiny 2's full Light and Dark saga can pick up the Beyond Light and The Witch Queen expansions at a massive 92% off on the Xbox and PlayStation stores right now, thanks to ongoing summer sales. These are just two of Destiny 2's several expansions that remain available to players, with the MMORPG recently launching its latest expansion, The Edge of Fate, which kicks off an entirely new story saga in the world of Destiny 2 that puts the spotlight on the Nine and a mysterious new character from Earth's distant past.

Destiny 2 recently made all of its available expansions free to players for a limited time ahead of the newest expansion's launch, including the climactic Final Shape DLC, which wrapped up the series' decade-long journey so far. Though the Beyond Light expansion's main campaign was made free to all players permanently a while back, not all the content introduced with that expansion is available to free-to-play players, and purchasing the expansion content unlocks access to the Deep Stone Crypt raid, over 15 pieces of exotic gear, and more.

The Edge of Fate may just be Destiny 2’s smallest expansion so far in terms of length, though the heavy groundwork it lays isn’t unnoticed.

Players who have been waiting for the right time to get into one of Destiny 2's best expansions now have the chance to get their hands on the Beyond Light and Witch Queen expansion packs for just a handful of dollars, with Beyond Light up for grabs at $1.60 and The Witch Queen available for $2.40. However, these massive discounts won't last for long, and players will need to move fast before sales end. The Xbox Summer Sale is set to end in just two days, while the PlayStation store sale will end on August 13.

These Destiny 2 Expansions Won't Get Much Cheaper Than This

Destiny 2's Witch Queen DLC remains one of the series' most popular expansions of all time, so players who haven't had a chance to experience the campaign yet should definitely consider grabbing it while they can. Unfortunately, there's still no way for players new to Destiny 2 to experience the series' full story from start to finish, with several of Destiny 2's expansions prior to Shadowkeep having been permanently sunset along with their story content.

Bungie has made efforts to fill in the missing story content with expository cutscenes and a handy timeline feature, which sums up the story of Destiny so far. Still, many of the game's available campaign experiences are often worth playing, especially at these prices, and can offer players a ton of content to enjoy alongside friends.
