Act 2 for Destiny 2's Revenant Episode is almost here, and Bungie recently celebrated its impending arrival with a developer livestream outlining all the new changes and additions coming to the game on November 19 with the Episode's launch. Along with Destiny 2 Episode: Revenant's continued story, Act 2 will bring the new Coil-esque Contest of Elders seasonal activity, new seasonal weapons, changes to Supers, and a Street Fighter collaboration that includes themed Ghost shells, emotes, ornaments, and more.
The upcoming Street Fighter items aren't the only new cosmetics coming to Destiny 2, however, as Bungie also revealed during the livestream several doki doki-themed ornament sets that will eventually be made available. Unfortunately, the developer spent only around 30 seconds laying out the details for the event, so very little is known about it currently. That being said, there are some safe assumptions that can be made based on what was shown in the livestream, and what the concept of "doki doki" generally evokes.

What to Expect From Destiny 2's Doki Doki Crossover
The Crossover Likely Applies to the Concept of Doki Doki More Than a Particular Game
There has been a bit of confusion about Destiny 2's Doki Doki crossover, as the success of the hit visual novel game Doki Doki Literature Club! Has led some to believe Destiny 2 is crossing over with the game itself. Even before it was announced, several leaks seemed to point to Doki Doki Literature Club! As the main inspiration for the crossover. However, Bungie has given no indication that this is the case, and it appears the crossover might be more generalized to the concept of doki doki instead.
In Japanese pop culture — especially anime, manga, and games — doki doki moments often center around romantic tension and emotional vulnerability, as the term "doki" is an onomatopoeic expression that mimics the sound of a heartbeat. Because of this, doki doki is often associated with certain fashion styles or aesthetics that are cute or heart-fluttering in their appearance. These styles manifest themselves in a variety of forms, including school uniforms, pastel dresses and skirts, and oversized bows, all of which seem to be what Destiny 2 is going for in its Doki Doki crossover event.
This will be brand-new territory for Destiny 2, as its previous crossovers have generally been with games with more serious (less fun) themes like Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and The Witcher.
Players Can Expect Several Doki Doki-Themed Ornament Sets for the Crossover
While the full extent of Destiny 2's Doki Doki event has yet to be revealed, Bungie did show off some of (and possibly all of) the ornament sets that will be coming to the game once the crossover takes place. The Warlock Doki Doki set might be the cutest of the bunch, with a giant bow on its chest and ribbons on the top of the helmet as well. The Titan Doki Doki ornament set includes a Titan Mark resembling a skirt one might see a character wearing in a school-based anime. Finally, the Destiny 2 Hunter Doki Doki set is a little more sleek than the others but includes a massive bow for a Cloak. As they can with every other ornament set in Destiny 2, players can change the color of the upcoming Doki Doki sets using shaders.
Bungie wasn't clear about when the Destiny 2 Doki Doki ornaments might be added to the game, only that they will be included in Act 2 of Episode: Revenant. In light of that, it's possible players will see them in the Eververse Store on November 19, the day of Act 2's launch. As noted by Bungie, players will be able to purchase these sets using either Silver or Bright Dust, so anyone interested in obtaining them should get started on their Pathfinder objectives to rack up the currency required.
