How To Duplicate Exotic Class Items in Destiny 2's Dual…

Guardians are always crafty, and their discovery of exploits in Destiny 2 always makes for a decent reward. In Destiny 2: The Final Shape's latest Exotic Quest, Dual Destiny, players have figured out an efficient way to farm the Exotic Class Item, providing them and a friend with 2 Exotic Class Items, but a specific trick is required in order to get this to work.

Players are going to want to band together with a friend or stranger in order to efficiently roll out this exploit before Bungie patches it out. As of right now, players are able to duplicate Exotic Class Items from Dual Destiny in Destiny 2 with one simple trick, but something specific is required in order to activate it.

Have Two Of The Same Class Complete Dual Destiny

In order for this exploit to work, players must load into Dual Destiny alongside someone with the same Class. This means that the mission must be completed with 2 Titans, 2 Warlocks, or 2 Hunters. Whilst a different subclass does not matter, a different class does, so it's essential that players run Dual Destiny as an identical class to their partner. This is due to the fact that at the end of the mission, players will interact with a pedestal that holds their specific Exotic Class Item. If the Guardians are the same class, then there will be 2 identical Exotic Class Items, albeit with different Exotic Perk Rolls. To get both of these without fail is explained below.

Have Both Players Collect The Same Exotic Class Item At The Same Time

Now that Dual Destiny has been completed, and players have reached the stage where both Class Items are available to collect, it's important that players wait and communicate together on which one they will collect first. Both players need to stand next to the same Exotic Class Item and hold the interact button to collect it at the same time. This is easily done through voice chat, where players can count down when they hold the interact button. Upon doing so, the Exotic Class Item will disappear and enter their inventory.

Run To The Spawn Room To Receive Joining Allies And Reset The Instance

As soon as players collect their Exotic Class Item, they are going to want to turn around and sprint towards the entrance of the boss room. As they run, players will want to stick to the right corner of the room and reach the edge (or left of the room from spawn). From the edge, players will need to run and use their jump ability to reach the far corner of the map. Upon doing so, both players should enter a Joining Allies screen. Once that counts down to 0, they will receive a Mission Complete, and they will respawn in the boss room. Simply approach the unclaimed Exotic Class Item, and communicate to acquire it at the same time as previously done. Doing so will net each player with 2 Exotic Class Items per run of Dual Destiny, meaning that instead of relying on RNG from Pale Heart chests, they can run Dual Destiny, which takes around 15 to 30 minutes, and claim 2 random rolls of their Exotic Class Item of choice.

This is an exploit, and whilst it's unlikely players will get banned for doing so, it's worth mentioning that acquiring 2 Exotic Class Items is not intended, and it will most likely be patched sooner rather than later.
