Destiny 2 Is Feeling the Power of the Dark Side, But It Shouldn't Stop There
Destiny 2's Renegades expansion leans into the Dark Side, but for balance and impact, Bungie needs Jedi content to match the Sith-inspired flair.
Every Exotic and Legendary Weapon from Destiny 2’s The Edge of Fate Expansion Revealed So Far
New Land Beyond
The New Land Beyond is an ironsight sniper rifle that is a spin on a returning Exotic weapon from the original Destiny, the No Land Beyond. Unlike its predecessor, the New Land Beyond has the benefit of utilizing Destiny 2’s airborne-accuracy stats, and its damage buff now lasts until the player dies.
Weapon Perks:
- Horizon Ironsights: Sturdy ironsights. Increases range. Slightly increases handling speed.
- Accurized Rounds: This weapon can fire over longer distances. Increases range.
- Snapshot Sights: Faster time to aim down sights.
- Short-Action Stock: This weapon is incredibly easy to grip. Greatly increases handling speed.
Exotic Weapon Perk:
- Bullseye Bolster: Landing a precision hit substantially increases this weapon’s target acquisition, handling, reload speed, and stability for a short duration of time.
Exotic Weapon Intrinsic Trait:
- THE MASTER: Scoring precision hits increases this weapon’s damage until the wielder’s defeat. Massively increases ammo reserves.
According to Redditor u/DrSector’s post on r/DestinyTheGame, THE MASTER buff can reach 100 stacks, and the name of the buff will change at certain thresholds.
As of May 6, players who pre-order the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition for Destiny 2 can immediately unlock the New Land Beyond Exotic . The Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition includes both The Edge of Fate and Renegade expansions for Destiny 2, and, in addition to the New Land Beyond Exotic, purchasing this edition will immediately unlock a variety of new armor ornaments inspired by famous Star Wars characters, an Exotic Ghost shell, an emblem, and an emote.
Giver’s Blessing
While very few weapons have been shown off in detail so far, the Giver’s Blessing, a Kinetic, rapid-fire frame auto rifle that was revealed, has some major implications for other upcoming weapons. More specifically, the version of this weapon that was shown off was a tier-5 weapon, with its random weapon attachments and Origin perk capable of being enhanced, while also having three random perks available in both columns. Considering that this is seemingly just a common weapon from the loot pool of Destiny 2’s new planet, Kepler, the endgame weapons from The Edge of Fate expansion will surely shake up the meta for legendary weapons in major ways.
Yeartide Apex
This new lightweight frame Solar SMG will be part of the Solstice 2025 Seasonal Event loot pool. Weapons from this Seasonal Event are said to be the first to utilize Destiny 2’s newest Holofoil cosmetic theme, which is a moving design on the weapon that depicts an ocean shoreline. Though the full perk rolls of this weapon are still unknown, the version of this weapon shown off in the stream notably featured the Heal-Clip perk in its first column, and a new, unknown perk in its second column. The Yeartide Apex SMG also has the choice of two Origin perks: Tex Balanced Stock or Dream Work.
