Focus Activity Packages are a new type of reward introduced in Destiny 2's Guardian Games event, and it rightfully pushes everyone to be at their very best. However, it's not something that everyone will be able to get their hands on. Here's how you can score a package for yourself.
How to Get Focus Activity Packages in Destiny 2
The only way to earn a Focus Activity Package is to win a Focus Activity, which is essentially one or more of the core Guardian Games playlist activities that have been marked for competition. You'll know which playlist is marked as a Focus Activity by checking the map on the Tower and looking for which activity queue has an arrow-shaped icon next to it. Opening three Focused Activity Winner Packages is one of the objectives for permanently unlocking Destiny 2's first Skimmer/Hoverboard.
Focus Activities last for two hours on weekdays (Mon-Thurs) and three hours during weekends (Fri-Sun). These rotate on a 4-5 hour timer; if you're confused as to when the next Focus Activity is going to start, go back to the map and hover your cursor over the emblem at the very top of the screen, right above the playlist queues.
How to Win Focus Activities
Winning a Focus Activity isn't as simple as it seems. Completing your matches isn't enough — your class needs to score the highest points in a Focus Activity for you and every other Hunter, Titan, or Warlock to be considered a winner. There isn't much else to the actual gameplay, making Focus Activities a potential source of bonus rewards if you're simply playing to get Destiny 2's Champ title.
Now, players can't just cheese this by swapping to one of their other characters. You have to pledge to one class in order to get the activity reward. To do this, you simply have to play a Focus Activity with your chosen class while wearing a Guardian Games Class Item. You can only pledge to a class once per Focus Activity. If you want to change classes, you'll need to wait for the activity to end. If your class does win the activity by the end of the timer, a Champion's Package will appear in your inventory. Open this to make progress for your Skimmer quest and earn a bunch of rewards, including plenty of Guardian Games Medals.
