Players who missed out on Season of the Undying have a chance to get reprised versions of its weapons in Destiny 2 Season of the Wish. These new versions come with updated perk pools that can take better advantage of the current sandbox by synergizing with subclass effects and artifact mods.

Destiny 2: How To Defeat Hefnd’s Vengeance, Blighted Chimera In Warlord's Ruin Dungeon

Hefnd's Vengeance is the final boss encounter in Destiny 2's Warlord's Ruin dungeon. This guide breaks down how to defeat it.

Much like how the re-added Reckoning guns were in Season of the Deep, reprised Undying weapons are much rarer than the actual seasonal offerings in Season of the Wish. However, there's a way for Destiny 2 players to farm these returning weapons efficiently. Here's how to do it.

How to Farm Undying Weapons

Reprised Undying weapons have a very low chance to drop from either Riven's Lair or The Coil activities. The former can be finished very quickly, while the latter has the potential to be significantly more rewarding. Farming this activity may be the best option for players with a lot of time on their hands, but it is much more difficult than Riven's Lair, so bringing a good build is a must.

The Coil is essentially a longer version of Riven's Lair. It'll have players going through four loops containing two pathways, one arena, and one boss encounter each. Completing a loop rewards players with a chest that drops Wish and Undying loot.

What makes the Coil more efficient for farming is that there are additional chests within the pathways. These chests are hidden and locked behind doors that open only when players reach certain score thresholds. The fireteam's score can be increased by breaking pots and collecting shards within the pathways. A message will appear when the doors leading to the secret chests are opened.

To make things more enticing, getting a Platinum score in the Coil opens up a portal leading to the Chamber of Wishes, which contains even more chests to loot. Players must break as many pots as they can and open all the hidden chests in order to get a Platinum score.

As of writing, it's unclear if the hidden chests can drop Undying weapons or not. However, they do always drop either a reprised Dreaming City weapon, a seasonal engram or gear piece, or both. This is an excellent way of farming for the refreshed Waking Vigil, Vouchsafe, or Tigerspite. The latter is especially powerful since it can now roll with Kinetic Tremors.

Once players get an Undying weapon to drop, they'll be able to focus their Wish engrams to get more copies of the same gun. To unlock the ability to focus engrams, players must unlock the Wishful Weapon Focusing Seasonal Challenge by collecting any six Season of the Wish or reprised Undying weapons.
