Destiny 2's maps are filled with collectibles and secrets to uncover, and one such set of secrets can be found on the Moon. This lunar locale is visited during the Shadowkeep expansion, and contains a number of hidden Jade Rabbits.
In Destiny 2's Moon location, Jade Rabbits can be found hidden across the Lunar surface and in the various structures and caverns that stretch over and beneath it. There are ten in total, but in order to interact with them, players will first need to acquire small Rice Cakes. Once obtained, these can be offered to the Jade Rabbits in exchange for a phantasmal fragment or, rarely, a phantasmal core.
Where To Get Small Rice Cakes
The short answer to "How to find Small Rice Cakes?" Is simply, everywhere. There's a chance of getting them as a reward whenever opening chests or completing activities on the Moon. That said, it's easiest to get hold of them when completing public events, nightmare hunts, and lost sectors. Chests can contain pretty much anything, while the loot from the aforementioned sources tends to be more limited in scope, raising the odds of getting Rice Cakes as a result.
Essentially, players seeking Small Rice Cakes will need to grind public events and nightmare hunts on the Moon until the item drops. This might take some time, so players should probably pick up some bounties while they're at it for more efficiency.
It's important to note that players can only earn one Small Rice Cake per character, per week. This means it will take a total of 10 weeks to earn the triumph and shader mentioned in the next section, and also means players don't need to keep grinding for them after obtaining one on a given week.
Where To Use Small Rice Cakes
Once players have gotten hold of a Small Rice Cake, they'll be able to offer them to one of the ten Jade Rabbits hidden around the Moon to get phantasmal fragments or phantasmal cores. Players will need to offer Small Rice Cakes to all ten of
The Jade Rabbit's to earn a triumph and the "Lunar Gloom" shader. They can be found in the following locations.
- From The Sanctuary, head right after arriving from orbit and find the Tire Minigame, then head through a door on the left and down the hall to find the first Rabbit.
- Head for the Archer's Line Area (found right above Sanctuary on the Map) and look for the large dome building. Search inside (entering through the broken roof) and check the side rooms to find the Rabbit.
- Head for the K1 Logistics Lost Sector, beat the boss, and head into the room behind the chest for a third Rabbit.
- Find the building covered by a purple tarp at the Anchor of Light. Climb to the top to find the fourth Rabbit.
- Head to the Hellmouth and find a platform overlooking it, marked by two green lights. Follow the crack in the ground to a ramp, and scale the ramp to find the rabbit on a ledge.
- Head to Sorrow's Harbour and go to the bridge leading to the Keep. Halfway across the bridge are a pair of Hive Coffins with the Rabbit between them.
- Inside K1 Revelation, players can find a Rabbit in a room just past the lost sector chest. They'll need a firewall key to open it. This is obtained from the weekly Lunar Spelunker Bounty, which is only accessible after the campaign is done.
- In the Circle of Bones, in the southeast part of Hellmouth, follow the orange lights to find a room with green lights on the ceiling. A dark side area nearby conceals the Rabbit, so look closely for its glowing eyes.
- Still in the Circle of Bones, and find the Chamber of Night at the end of the rightmost path. Jump onto the rock in the middle of the large open room to find the Rabbit.
- Navigate to the Shrine of Oryx from the Hall of Wisdom, through the winding tunnels. Search the left side of the shrine for the final Rabbit, sitting on a ledge.
