Destiny 2: 10 Things Players Must Do Before The Launch Of Final Shape
The Final Shape will bring about many new changes to Destiny 2, and to prepare for The Witness, here are a few things players must do before June 4.
Due to Pantheon demanding players to handle multiple different types of bosses, players will want to be able to deal optimal damage to handle everything the Pantheon has to throw at them. Here are a few tips and tricks to make the Pantheon a little easier.
1 Learn The Boss Fights
Pantheon Is Challenging, So Brush Up On The Mechanics
- Pantheon bosses have complex mechanics
- Be confident with each fight before joining a group
- There is no room for error on the harder difficulties
Some boss fights in the Pantheon raid gauntlet are quite challenging and have complicated mechanics or are generally difficult fights, such as Riven of a Thousand Voices or Rhulk. Defeating certain bosses is necessary to complete the Divine Weaponry quest, which grants players the choice between certain Raid Exotics. Because of this, players should look to become confident with the mechanics of each boss fight in the Pantheon.
At the higher difficulties, players will be -20 Power Level, making it quite the challenge. This means there is no room for error with the mechanics, so players should perhaps look to complete these encounters in their specific raids or find a guide on how to complete them.
2 Bring A Variety Of Loadouts
The Pantheon Varies In Bosses, Demanding Different Strategies
- Some bosses demand different damage strategies
- Some weapons are better for certain situations than others
- Weapons like Edge Transit are brilliant for damage
Pantheon has various bosses, all of which demand different types of damage strategies. Atraks-1 demands burst damage, so weapons such as Parasite are best. Meanwhile, Rhulk is more of an endurance fight, demanding greater total damage rather than burst damage. This means that players will need to have several solid DPS loadouts in their arsenal before taking on the Pantheon.
Destiny 2: Best Raid Exotics, Ranked
Destiny 2's best exotics come through as rewards within their challenging raids.
There are a number of powerful DPS weapons available at the moment, especially with the release of Into the Light. One example is the infamous Edge Transit Grenade Launcher, which can come with incredibly powerful perks and is the go-to damage option for many players right now.
3 Be Aware Of The New Mechanics
The New Features In Pantheon Can Cause Some Problems
- Each encounter in Pantheon comes with a new mechanic
- These mechanics often aren't too game-altering
- These new features can be rather disruptive
Each fight in the Pantheon raid gauntlet has a new "mechanic." While these new features aren't exactly game-changers, they can cause some issues. One example of a very disruptive addition is the fire tornadoes that Zo'aurc, the Explicator of Planets, summons on each of the planet's plates, dealing immense damage. On top of that, a Tormentor spawns upon successfully indexing the planets, making things much harder for the fireteam.
To combat this, players should keep an eye out for additional features during key moments in the fight, as these seem to be the most altered areas of each encounter. For example, Golgoroth now causes two players to be infused with Unstable Light, making the mechanic even more dangerous.
4 Find A Fireteam
LFG Teammates Can Be Inconsistent
- LFG (looking for group) and Fireteam Finder can be quite inconsistent
- Try to find a consistent group
- Look to join a clan to avoid the randomness of LFG
Everyone knows that raids require multiple players, but not everyone has access to a group of people they consistently raid with. This means some have to resort to using LFG services or the in-game Fireteam Finder. While this isn't ideal, it is sometimes a must, as completing The Pantheon will be near impossible for the average player without a fireteam of six.
Destiny 2: 10 Best Legendary Raid Weapons, Ranked
The best Raids in Destiny 2 often feature Legendary weapons that can complement the power of every Guardian that wields them.
However, both the in-game Fireteam Finder and LFG services can be subject to luck, and many players are unsure of what to do, making The Pantheon much harder than it needs to be. However, coming across a good group of players can happen. If this does occur, try to arrange to do future Pantheon difficulties with them or join one of their clans to avoid the randomness of LFG.
5 Complete The Time Trial Challenges
Completing These Challenges Nets Bountiful Rewards
- Each encounter has a time trial challenge
- Completing these challenges demands specific mechanical executions
- The challenges reward Adept weapons
Pantheon offers a unique challenge. Each encounter has a specific time trial that players can complete, allowing them to enjoy the rewards of Adept Raid Weapons by claiming specific triumphs related to the time trial itself.
Some encounters are harder to complete in time than others. For example, the Caretaker and Zo'Aurc demand that players defeat them in two phases. Meanwhile, bosses like Atraks are much easier thanks to their lower health pools. However, players should look to complete these challenges as the Adept weapons that drop often come with solid rolls.
