A Destiny 2 player online has created a custom Guardian inspired by Articuno from the Pokemon franchise. It’s always interesting to see how the Destiny 2 community is finding new ways to be creative with their Guardian’s appearance.
Guardian fashion has developed over the years as an interesting Destiny 2 subculture. As the game’s customization options have expanded, players have had more opportunities to make their in-game avatars look unique. While some just want to make the coolest-looking character possible, many frequently choose to make their Destiny 2 Guardians a crossover with their favorite franchises. Just recently, a Destiny 2 player online made their Guardian look like a popular Deadpool and Wolverine character, and it’s definitely fun seeing how accurate these can become.
Some Destiny 2 Players' Names Have Been Changed
A strange bug impacts some Destiny 2 player accounts and changes their names, and Bungie is working on a fix to reverse these changes.
Redditor BaxxBreaker on the DestinyFashion subreddit shared their Destiny 2 Warlock side by side with an image of the legendary Pokemon, Articuno. This inspired piece of Guardian fashion is awesome - it looks just enough like the Pokemon that fans of the bird would be able to tell what it is inspired by, although non-fans can also appreciate it for its strong blue color scheme. Other users in the thread suggested they do Moltres and Zapdos next, and while BaxxBreaker did confirm their intention to do so, they also acknowledged that they're not sure if it'll work out due to Destiny 2's restrictions. Hopefully they can get it done, as their take on the duo could be really cool.
Destiny 2 Articuno Guardian Fashion
Any fan who wants to recreate this Articuno-inspired build is in luck. BaxxBreaker shared all of the individual armor pieces that have been used in this piece of Guardian fashion, including the Atavistic Idol Hood, Skaldic Chant Gloves, Phoenix Fusion, Atavistic Idol Boots, and Northlight Bond. They also showed all of the Destiny 2 ornaments that were used to give each item the vibrant light blue color, which is the most important part of bringing this Articuno Guardian to life.
A recent round of layoffs at Bungie has many gamers worried about the future of the franchise. It isn't clear whether Destiny 3 was ever in development at the studio, and Bungie is yet to say what the future holds. Considering how popular Destiny 2 is seven years after its launch, it would definitely be disappointing to not receive a sequel. It may take time after the layoffs for the studio to settle on its future direction, so it could be a while before the curtain is pulled open on its plans for Destiny.
