Destiny 2 Leak Hints at Two Returning Weapons
A new Destiny 2 leak suggests that two fan-favorite weapons may return to the looter-shooter game with the Into the Light update.
Players won't have to spend their time grinding Destiny 2's Trials of Osiris to get this gun. Unlike in Year 1, it's much easier to get now. Here's where you can farm for this Auto Rifle as well as the rolls you should be looking out for.

In PvE, the Prosecutor can serve as a decent workhorse for the majority of Guardians. Its damage output is respectable, and with Dragonfly/Voltshot roll, players will be able to clear entire rooms more efficiently with just their primary weapon. Alternatively, a Prosecutor with Rewind Rounds and Golden Tricorn can prove to be more reliable in a wider range of scenarios. Weapon stats don't matter as much in PvE, so any combination of Magazine and Barrel perk should work as long as they feel right for you.
As far as PvP goes, fans of the Ammit AR2 should find the Prosecutor to be right up their alley, even after the major Crucible changes. The performance of both Auto Rifles are comparable, though the Prosecutor trumps the Ammit in the range department thanks to its perks. Keep Away and Target Lock should make longer-ranged engagements feel more comfortable with the Prosecutor, and lethality shouldn't be a problem if players can consistently hit their shots with this perk combo.
If you're more worried about winning duels, then a Zen Moment and Tap The Trigger roll will do wonders for your 1v1 fights. Zen Moment in particular is very strong for combating flinch, and you can further fight against it by stacking stability in your other perk slots.
Where to Get Prosecutor
Originally, this weapon was part of the rewards pool for the Trials of the Nine PvP activity. Now, it's part of the updated loot table of Destiny 2's Prophecy dungeon — specifically, the Phalanx Echo boss. This is arguably the easiest encounter in the entire dungeon, and even solo players using strong builds like Banner of War Titan can quickly beat this boss without breaking a sweat.
The Phalanx Echo boss fight involves extinguishing Light and Dark wells by detonating motes of their respective color. Beat Knights, grab motes, and detonate them near the wells to lower the boss' energy shield. Afterward, hit it with everything you got until it dies or its shield goes back up.
