Psychopomp is a Special Ammo Grenade Launcher in Destiny 2 that's designed for denying ground and dealing constant damage to stationary or immobile targets. This weapon falls under the Area Denial Frame category, and it has a few perks that make it stand out among its peers.
If you plan on using an Arc build in an add-dense activity in Destiny 2, then Psychopomp might be an excellent special weapon for your loadout. In this guide, we're going to cover the best perks you can get for this weapon, including some decent alternative rolls to help you figure out which ones are worth keeping.

Bolt Charge Roll
Out of all possible rolls for Psychopomp, this might just take the cake as the absolute best one you can have. This is all thanks to Rolling Storm, which gives you a stack of Bolt Charge after you kill an enemy with Psychopomp.
The neat thing about Bolt Charge is you will gain more stacks of it as long as you're dealing sustained damage to enemies, and since Psychopomp lays down damaging fields of Arc energy, you'll be able to gain Bolt Charge stacks at an alarming rate, especially if you're using something like a Bolt Charge Titan build. When you reach Bolt Charge stacks, discharge it with melee attacks or abilities to deal big damage to a target.
Ambitious Assassin is also extremely good with Psychopomp. Since this weapon can kill enemies very quickly, players can take advantage of Ambitious Assassin often. The perk will bump Psychopomp's magazine size to 2 when activated, and if you get a version of this GL with the Runneth Over origin trait, you can stack your mag size up to 3.
Destiny 2: How to Get the Taken Shader Without All Chess Pieces
Destiny 2 has 60 secret chess pieces to collect, but players can't skip the hassle and get the Taken Shader within minutes thanks to this guide.
Prismatic Roll
This roll is very similar to the previous one. The only difference is that it trades Bolt Charge for Elemental Honing, which increases Pyschopomp's damage every time you deal damage with a different elemental damage type. This bonus stacks up to five times, giving you a 35% damage bonus when maxed out.
Elemental Honing's damage buff is significant, but unless you're using a Prismatic build in Destiny 2, you likely won't reach max stacks of this perk. However, if you're able to max Elemental Honing's stacks, you'll end up with a Special Grenade Launcher that can melt yellow-bars and red-bars alike.
Close Quarters Roll
This is an unconventional roll that rewards players for leaping straight into the fray. Threat Detector gives you a large bonus to reload speed when you're surrounded by enemies, and Unrelenting lets you stay in the action for longer by healing you after rapidly defeating enemies (or defeating single strong targets).
Unlike the others, this roll won't deal as much damage due to the nature of its perks. However, if survival is more important than DPS, then this should be more than enough to keep you alive in encounters with plenty of adds to fight. Make sure to weave in your abilities and other weapons between GL shots to maximize your effectiveness.
