Shadow Price may not be everyone's favorite, but it's a solid Arc auto rifle in Destiny 2, especially if you don't want to farm Vesper's Host or Prophecy dungeons for their alternatives. If you're looking to farm Shadow Price, there are very specific rolls you should look out for.

This guide covers the definitive Shadow Price god rolls for both PvE and PvP in Destiny 2, alongside a couple of alternative perks, depending on your build and playstyle.

Guardians in Destiny 2 have quite an assortment of weapons to choose from. These are the best ones for your build.

Destiny 2: Shadow Price PvE God Roll

While not many, Shadow Price has some decent PvE options. There are other Arc auto rifles in Destiny 2, and many have top-of-the-line perks, but Shadow Price might work better if you're running a build focused on your class ability.

Here's the Shadow Price PvE god roll:

Arrowhead Brake

Strategist

Voltshot

Reload Speed

This roll commits to maximum reload speed with Voltshot in the fourth column. Voltshot allows you to Jolt targets for 7 seconds when you reload after a kill, so the higher the reload speed, the better. It's also the only viable perk in the fourth column. There's One for All that grants a 30% damage buff when hitting three separate targets in quick succession, but Arc weapons shine when there's subclass synergy. For raw damage, it's best to use a Kinetic primary, like the Midnight Coup hand cannon that can also roll One for All.

In the third column, there are a few options. Strategist is a great option for builds that revolve around the class ability, with each kill granting 10% class ability energy. This allows you to get the ability back extremely quickly, especially if you're running additional armor Mods or subclass elements that further decrease class ability cooldown. Alternatively, Attrition Orbs can be a decent option for additional Orbs of Power. It slightly contradicts Voltshot, as it requires sustained damage, but there's enough time to create an Orb of Power before Voltshot runs out.

Overflow is pointless on Shadow Price when paired with Voltshot, as you can't reload the weapon when it's loaded beyond maximum capacity, preventing you from triggering it.

Destiny 2: Shadow Price PvP God Roll

The PvP side of things is lacking on Shadow Price. Overall, auto rifles are underperforming in the Crucible, and when paired with almost no decent perks, this weapon isn't worth your time. If you still want to try it out in PvP, there are two distinct perks to go for.

Here's the Shadow Price PvP god roll:

Arrowhead Brake

Accurized Rounds

Surplus

Gutshot Straight

Range

Surplus in the third column grants handling, stability, and reload speed based on the number of fully charged abilities. This perk requires you to be mindful when using abilities (which you should be doing anyway) unless your build has high ability uptime.

You can pair Surplus with Gutshot Straight, which increases body shot damage but decreases aim assist cone size. While Gutshot Straight doesn't lower optimal time-to-kill values, it allows for more forgiveness in landing body shots over precision shots.

How to Get Shadow Price in Destiny 2

Grandmaster Nightfall node in Destiny 2

Shadow Price is a Nightfall weapon in Destiny 2 and is available when it's the featured weekly weapon. The Adept versions drop from Grandmaster Nightfalls, but you can get base weapons from doing a Nightfall on any difficulty. Once you unlock it in the collections, you can focus Shadow Price at Zavala for 5 Vanguard Engrams and 25,000 Glimmer, regardless of whether it's the featured weapon.
