Bungie's latest update arrives for Destiny 2, fixing a number of bugs currently plaguing the experience for players. As Destiny 2 barrels towards its next phase of life in July, Bungie continues to plug away on the core experience, fixing and improving remaining issues during the current Episode Heresy.
While much of the excitement around Destiny 2 these days is for the upcoming Edge of Fate expansion and the host of changes that are coming with it, players have finally gotten access to the Rite of the Nine's revamped Prophecy dungeon. As part of the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset for June 2, the dungeon rotation has finally moved to the last one in the set of three. Players can earn new gear and experience a few changes in the Rite of the Nine social space before the increased loot buffs start rolling in later this month and into July.
Destiny 2 Reveals Year of Prophecy Roadmap
Alongside the Edge of Fate reveal, Bungie confirms the entire year of content coming to Destiny 2, from expansions, updates, and more.
Alongside Prophecy, Bungie released a new update for Destiny 2, addressing some bugs and other quirky behaviors present in the game. For Destiny 2's Rite of the Nine activity, players were accidentally able to select the Gjallarhorn's Exotic Catalyst as a reward, even when they already had it. At least now, this update will prevent accidental selections, so players can focus on choosing something that actually matters to them.
Other fixes included within this update are a bit more specific and include a strange bug that reduced the Impact stat of the Cruoris FR4 fusion rifle when players enhanced the weapon. For Prismatic and Void players, Bungie also fixed an animation issue present when using the Echo of Domineering and Facet of Command with bows. Finally, for Destiny 2 players working to unlock the Eternal title, this update makes a big fix to the Seeker of the Nine Triumph, which was tracking per character instead of per account.
Fans continue to eagerly await July 15 when the Edge of Fate expansion launches for Destiny 2. Originally part of Codename Frontiers, the Year of Prophecy will be bringing a massive shakeup to the core experience as it introduces all kinds of new and overhauled features. Recently, previews have already shown off new weapon types, exotic gear, new buildcrafting features, tiered loot system, the portal, and plenty more.
