Destiny 2 received a new update on July 22. This latest patch released by Bungie aims to squash a series of bugs that have been plaguing Destiny 2 players since the release of the Edge of Fate expansion, making gameplay smoother and keeping the community engaged.
A new era has begun for Destiny 2 players, who explore the mysterious Kepler planetoid after the release of the Edge of Fate expansion. While Bungie has introduced new equipment, weapons, and powers for players to equip their Guardians with, the devs didn't add new core activities. Despite this, existing activities have received updates to refresh the loot pool and difficulty level, offering a new challenge for players. The first few days after the release of Edge of Fate have been rocky, but to smooth out gameplay and improve the experience, a new Destiny 2 patch is available to address several aspects.
Destiny 2 Players Discover Frustrating Issue Following Release of Edge of Fate Expansion
Destiny 2 has released the Edge of Fate expansion, and players of Bungie's shooter once again face a issue affecting their gameplay.
Destiny 2 has released update 9.0.0.3, which contains a variety of fixes for several bugs that the shooter has been experiencing. The Portal, one of the biggest changes in Destiny 2 with the release of Edge of Fate, had bugs fixed, including the incorrect display of certain Conquest modifiers and the extra loot drop rate, which was lower than intended. The issue that caused Kepler engram focused on higher gear tiers to display the wrong requirements has also been resolved. Players using the Matterspark ability who were experiencing camera issues will no longer see them after patch 9.0.0.3.
Other changes that Destiny 2 has made now allow all players to access extra slots in loadouts and dismantle Destiny Materials in stacks, saving time. After being discovered by players and addressed by the devs, the audio bug affecting Destiny 2 players on PlayStation 5 has been fixed. Two bugs impacting PC players have been eliminated: one caused mouse blocking issues on Steam for players using higher resolutions, and another caused mouse issues for gamers using Ultrawide screen settings.
While most of Destiny 2's 9.0.0.3 patch focuses on fixing bugs to get the Edge of Fate expansion on track, it also makes two additions. The first is the new addition to Destiny 2's PvP, the Cutting Edge playlist, which had been delayed until July 22. This mode has a restricted loadout and requires them to have a new armor set, which receives a Crucible Rewards Multiplier. Additionally, the Exotic Sparrow, Enneachord, can now be claimed by Destiny 2 players who have The Year of Prophecy and The Year of Prophecy Ultimate Editions.
