- Bungie reintroduced popular Raids from the original Destiny, like Vault of Glass, into Destiny 2 with tweaks.
A gamer created a LEGO diorama of Destiny 2's Vault of Glass Raid and shared the incredible work online. Vault of Glass was the first Destiny Raid to be reintroduced in Destiny 2.
With the addition of Salvation's Edge in The Final Shape, Bungie has released a dozen Raids for Destiny 2, not counting the two smaller Raid Lairs that became available shortly after the popular shooter launched in late 2017. Several of the game's full-scale Raids were actually first introduced in the original Destiny and later brought over to the sequel with some tweaks, such as Vault of Glass. One gamer has built a diorama of Vault of Glass, considered by some to be one of Destiny 2' s easiest Raids, using LEGO pieces.
Clever Destiny 2 Player Turns Their Hunter Into Overwatch 2's Cassidy
A creative Destiny 2 player and Overwatch fan transforms their Hunter Guardian into a version of Cassidy, the gunslinging Overwatch 2 hero.
In a post on the Destiny 2 subreddit, user HeisenBurgdorf shared their Vault of Glass LEGO diorama, which required more than 4,000 parts and took a few months to design. This incredible build features several Guardians fighting the Vault of Glass' powerful final boss, Atheon, in the last arena of the Raid, with the protectors of mankind channeling moves like Blade Barrage, Thundercrash, and Well of Radiance. The Guardians were based on the characters of HeisenBurgdorf's clan members, and some of the figures even had custom parts like the Helm of Optimacy and Hunter's helm from the Hardened Basilisk Universal Ornament set that were designed and printed by one of the Reddit user's friends.
The Destiny franchise never received an official LEGO release, but a variety of sets were produced under the Mega Construx toy brand, formerly known as MEGA BLOKS. The collaboration saw the release of kits that included Guardians, as well as buildable models of characters like Atheon and Dominus Ghaul, the latter of whom was the primary antagonist of Destiny 2's base campaign.

Aside from Vault of Glass, two more Raids from the original Destiny, Crota's End and King's Fall, ended up reappearing in the title's sequel. The only Raid from the first game that has yet to be brought over to Destiny 2 is Wrath of the Machine, which was the flagship Raid of the original's final expansion, Rise of Iron. The Devil Splicers, a faction of the Fallen that acted as the enemy in Wrath of the Machine, never appeared in Destiny 2.
Bungie removed three Raids from Destiny 2 as the game's storyline expanded throughout the years, namely Leviathan, Scourge of the Past, and Crown of Sorrow. These and the shooter's two Raid Lairs, Eater of Worlds and Spire of Stars, were sunset upon the release of Destiny 2's Beyond Light DLC on November 10, 2020.
