A Destiny 2 player has turned their Warlock in-game into Admiral Ackbar, as he appears in the Star Wars film series. Admiral Ackbar is something of an iconic figure among Star Wars fans, and now, this gamer has figured out a way to bring him to life in Destiny 2.
Since the release of Destiny 2, Guardian fashion has become a subculture that is an important part of the game. Players have more customization options than ever before, which allows players to get creative with their in-game protagonists. It's interesting to see the route some players take. Many just aim to create the coolest character possible, but it's not unheard of for players to create their favorite characters from other franchises. There was even a Destiny 2 player online who turned their Guardian into South Park characters, showing what's possible within the confines of the game.
Redditor Accomplished_Mobile7 shared their awesome creation, which turns their Destiny 2 Warlock into Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars. With the bold white outfit, it seems to be based on Ackbar's appearance in the original trilogy as opposed to the sequel movies. Considering Admiral Ackbar is an alien with a very distinctive look, it's a minor miracle that the pieces of the outfit exist to bring him to life in Destiny 2. One gamer in the thread described the creation as "Absolutely glorious."
Admiral Ackbar Recreated in Destiny 2
Luckily, Accomplished_Mobile7 shared the individual armor pieces they used to create this version of Admiral Ackbar. This includes the Empyrean Cartographer Gloves, the Crimson Plume Robes, Moonfang-X7 Boots, and the Ancestral Bond. However, the Dawn Chorus helmet is the real star here, as it sticks out on both sides to look just like Admiral Ackbar's eyes. On top of this, Accomplished_Mobile7 also showed all of the Destiny 2 ornaments that were used for Admiral Ackbar, which are arguably just as crucial as the armor pieces.
The future of the Destiny series has been somewhat up in the air of late. Bungie faced some layoffs, which had players concerned about what it meant for Destiny, and there were even rumors that Destiny 3 was never in development at all. This would certainly be a shock, considering the previous game in the series was released back in 2017. In better news, it recently emerged that a rumored Destiny mobile game is reportedly still in development, although nothing is confirmed on this front at the moment.
