Players could originally acquire Wicked Implement, the Exotic Scout Rifle, from Season of the Deep, which was active throughout the release of Destiny 2: Lightfall. With Destiny 2 moving on to The Final Shape expansion, all of the content involved in Lightfall's seasons, including Season of the Deep, have been sunset in favor of the new Episodes of Echoes and Revenant, yet, that doesn't mean players can't still get Wicked Implement.

Destiny 2: Hardest Final Bosses in Dungeons, Ranked

Fireteams of brave Guardians in Destiny 2 can delve into Dungeons to face off against some of the hardest bosses ever seen.

Players no longer have to battle through the smothering depths of Titan's methane sea to battle Xivu Arath's strongest soldiers. Now, players have a pretty simple set-up required of them if they want to claim the Wicked Implement Exotic Scout Rifle post-The Final Shape.

How to Get Wicked Implement in Destiny 2: The Final Shape

While the original method to obtain Wicked Implement was through fishing and completing Deep Dive activities in Season of the Deep, the new method with the release of The Final Shape is pretty simple. All players need to do his head to the Tower and venture to the Monument to Lost Lights, which is found beside the Vault Space between Lord Shaxx and Banshee-44.

At the Monument to Lost Lights, players must select Exotic Gear Archives 2's Lightfall Exotics. Upon entering this page, players will be able to purchase Wicked Implement for the following materials:

  • Exotic Cipher x1
  • Glimmer x100,000

Once purchased, players will always have Wicked Implement in their collection if they need to re-acquire it. It's a far easier method than the violent mission of old, and it means that players who did not own Season of the Deep or complete the Exotic Quest can try out Wicked Implement for themselves.

Wicked Implement is an Exotic Scout Rifle that can hold its own with the right build. Wicked Implement is inherently Stasis, so players are going to want to combine that with other Stasis elements to ensure that Hell freezes over with every clip unloaded into the enemies of the Last City. It's a decent weapon that relies on its slow and freeze mechanics, and anyone who has tried Polaris Lance can enjoy what is essentially the Darkness version of it.

In the post-The Final Shape world, Wicked Implement is definitely an Exotic to try out thanks to its build into Frost Armor, and how picking off enemies with a reliable Scout Rifle that will slow and freeze them with consistent precision shots, is always a viable strategy for endgame content like GM Nightfalls.

Wicked Implement's Catalyst can be acquired as a random drop in Ritual Activities.
