Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. It's a big week for Bungie fans as Destiny 2 saw the end of the Episode: Heresy story, and there's an upcoming Marathon gameplay reveal happening on April 12.
With Marathon finally taking center stage, there's a bigger question as to what's next for Destiny 2. With Episode: Heresy's story now over and Bungie not ready to talk about Codename: Frontiers at this point, Destiny 2 is in a bit of limbo at the moment. Thankfully, the Act isn't quite over yet as Destiny 2 is still seeing the previously leaked Rite of the Nine activity soon, but fans are certainly hungry for the next big announcement.

For now though, the exotic merchant Xur has returned to the game with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of April 11, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are hanging out and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley hiding Xur is to the right.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Typically, a solid option for Voidwalker Warlocks, though the roll on this one isn't the best with Mobility being the highest stat.

Vanishing Shadow
- Increases the duration of any invisibility effects. While you are invisible, your melee recharges faster, your weapons reload faster, and your Recovery is greatly increased.
A great option for void builds that rely on being able to go invisible. This is a good one to pick up this week.

Beacons of Empowerment
- Sol Invictus lasts twice as long. Allies who pass through your Sunspot are granted Sol Invictus and Solar restoration.
More of a support-style exotic, these can be very useful within a team-oriented activity. Unfortunately, the issue with these is that the roll is a little underwhelming coming in at only a 62 overall.
