Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Arms Week in Destiny 2 continues on for another few days, letting players chase for new rolls on the Ribbontail trace rifle or Phoneutria Fera hand cannon, as well as the Holofoil variants.
Even qwith the first round of Arms Week ending next Tuesday at reset, players won't have to wait long for the next event. Bungie revealed the new version of Destiny 2's Solstice event, which has seemingly ditched the traditional Bonfire Bash activity. In addition to new armor sets and other rewards, players will be able to play the Solstice Scorched Crucible mode as well as utilize new solar-themed modifiers for the Portal.

With the weekend finally here, the weekend merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of August 1, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor
Starting with the Edge of Fate expansion, Xur's role in the Tower has expanded a bit. While Xur no longer carries legendary armor, the merchant has increased his exotic offering by selling two pieces of gear for each class each week. Xur's new Destiny 2 inventory can still be found at the Tower Bazaar.

- While you have a Solar Super equipped, aiming weapons while you're midair suspends you there for a short time. While this effect is active, you are more resistant to incoming damage and combatants are less accurate. Weapon hits extend this effect's duration, and [Solar]Solar weapon final blows provide Restoration and reload your other weapons from reserves. Provides a large benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons.
