Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Episode Heresy rolls on and, in a surprising twist, Bungie is not only acknowledging a recently added bug, but they're keeping it as a feature. Former class-specific swords and glaives are now available for any Destiny 2 class thanks to a bug, but Bungie won't be fixing it, letting players express their creativity through interesting builds and other content.
It's a nice change of pace as Destiny 2 has also seen its fair share of issues and bugs. While there are some bigger issues impacting the game, including 3rd person animations breaking, weapons going invisible, and others, Destiny 2 players have been getting unreleased weapons to drop from various activities. The weapons were originally intended to arrive with Epsiode Heresy Act 2, but fans have been getting Afterlight, Boondoggle Mk. 55, and Anamnesis to drop early.
Bizarre Destiny 2 Bug Ruining Long Play Sessions

In the meantime, the exotic merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of February 21, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Dynamic Duo
- Convert your Arc grenade into a Arc Soul and become amplified. The Arc Soul functions as an autonomous turret.
A solid option in PvE activities that not only provides additional firepower, but can really help take advantage of Arc bonuses like Amplified and more. The roll is also pretty good this week, so it's worth a pick up for those who don't have it or perhaps need a better version.

Vanishing Execution
- Powered melee final blows grant invisibility and restore a portion of health and shields. Finishers and final blows against more powerful targets increase the duration of the invisibility and the amount of health and shields restored.
Another great PvE option for Arcstrider hunters as it not only lets players go invisible, but it provides a bit of survivability with shield and health restoration effects.

Seriously, Watch Out
- Grants an overshield when you're sprinting at full health with Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash equipped and charged. Hits with these abilities recharge a portion of your melee energy.
Titans who like to punch things, these will reward your efforts, especially in PvE activities. Probably not great for high-end activities, but can be fun nonetheless.
