Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. It's been a rollercoaster of a week for Destiny 2 players as Episode Heresy has finally launched, bringing brand-new content and gameplay to check out. It wasn't the smoothest of starts, however, as the game struggled with server issues and connection problems on launch day, leaving some players out in the cold for a time.
With the first weekend of Episode Heresy here, Bungie is kicking off a new Destiny 2 raid race for Sundered Doctrine. The newest dungeon will test players in Contest Mode over the next 48 hours with the first fireteam taking home trophies for their work. However, it's worth noting that Bungie has disabled certain exotics like the Microcosm exotic heavy trace rifle, as well as Lord of Wolves and some other mods and perks for this race.
Destiny 2: Heresy Impacted by Actor Strike
Bungie reveals that the upcoming release of Episode Heresy for Destiny 2 on February 4 has been impacted by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
Alongside the dungeon race, the exotic merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

- Rifts periodically release Arc shockwaves. Final blows with these shockwaves create an Arc explosion. While an Arc Super is equipped, the shockwaves and subsequent explosions blind nearby targets. Rift energy recharges faster when you are surrounded by targets.
Very spikey armor this week with a 30 roll for Recovery, though this exotic is a tough one to recommend as it can be pretty situational and works best in PvE content.

- Punching someone with full melee energy will instantly cast Smoke Bomb. Your Smoke Bombs deal increased damage, regenerate more quickly when stuck to a surface, and grant you Truesight after damaging a target.
A solid exotic that seems to shine slightly brighter in PvP for void hunters. It's not a must-have, especially with such a low roll, however, it could be an interesting pair with the Nightstalkers' new On The Prowl void aspect.

Reflective Vents
- While sliding with full class ability energy, you gain a frontal shield that reflects incoming damage. After reflecting damage, your class ability energy is depleted based on the amount of damage reflected.
Another situational exotic makes its appearance this week, giving Titan players a front shield when sliding with full class ability energy. Timing is a bit tight, but the shield can also deflect incoming enemy fire like rockets as well.
