Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Time is running low on Episode Heresy as Bungie continues to reveal new content and updates coming to Destiny 2 when The Edge of Fate launches.
This week's blog post focused on Weapon Balancing, among other topics, as Bungie's sandbox team announced major changes coming to certain Destiny 2 exotics. Specifically, the Hierarchy of Needs exotic bow from the Spire of the Watcher dungeon adds more flexibility, as well as a way to let any allied player with a bow to utilize the Guidance Ring mechanic. Other exotics getting buffs include Tommy's Matchbook, The Navigator, Worldline Zero, and more.
Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Activities, Challenges, and Rewards
The weekly reset for Destiny 2 is live and here are all of the new details including activity rotations, seasonal challenges, and much more.
Until then though, the weekend merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of July 4, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
