Destiny 2: Xur Exotic Armor, Weapon, and Recommendations for May 30

Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. The Destiny 2's Rite of the Nine event rolls forward in just a few days when Prophecy takes its place as the featured dungeon for the next two weeks. After that point, all three become available with boosted currency rates until "lootapalooza" arrives in July.

Outside of the Rite of the Nine activity, anticipation continues to grow for Destiny 2's next expansion called Edge of Fate. Bungie continues to tease that there's plenty more to discuss and, as such, has announced two livestreams to show off some of these systems and features. Interested players can check them out on June 24 and July 1 starting at 10am PDT.

For now though, the exotic merchant Xur has returned with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of May 30, 2025.

Where is Xur?

Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.

Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are hanging out and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley hiding Xur is to the right.

Destiny 2 Exotic Class Armor

Xur's role has continued to expand and evolve over the years. Alongside The Final Shape expansion, Xur's inventory in Destiny 2 expanded even more, moving back to Strange Coins as the currency of choice, rank rewards, resources, and of course, armor and weapons.

Nezarec's Sin - Warlock helmet

Exotic Perks:

• Abyssal Extractors - Void-damage kills increase ability energy recharge rate.

While this is a solid Void-specific exotic, this version in particular is difficult to recommend as it comes with an absurdly high Mobility stat line, not terribly useful for Warlock players.

• Recovery +3
• Discipline +15
• Intellect +10
• Strength +7

Graviton Forfeit - Hunter helmet

Exotic Perk:

• Vanishing Shadow - Increases the duration of any invisibility effects. While you are invisible, your melee recharges faster, your weapons reload faster, and your Recovery is greatly increased.

An easy recommendation this week for those who don't have it or perhaps want a better roll.

• Mobility +3
• Resilience +16
• Recovery +16
• Discipline +2
• Intellect +10
• Strength +20

Heart of Inmost Light - Titan chest armor

Exotic Perk:

• Overflowing Light - Using an ability (grenade, melee, or Barricade) empowers the other two abilities. Empowered means abilities have faster regen, melees and grenades do more damage, and Barricades have more hit points.

Another strong PvE exotic that isn't class-specific and can really boost player abilities. The only disappointing element is the roll this week which is okay as it comes in with the lowest overall roll of the three items.

• Resilience +7
• Recovery +20
• Discipline +10
• Intellect +10
• Strength +10

Xur Inventory Items

Year 7 in Destiny 2 has upgraded Xur's inventory, adding a true rank progression system, rewards, as well as focusing options. Xur also has more than just weapons and armor as well, including:

• Coldheart Catalyst
• Traveler's Chosen Catalyst
• The Xurfboard (Skimmer Board Vehicle)
• Essentialism/Stoicism/Solipsism OR Exotic Cipher
• Exotic Engram
• Enhancement Prism
• Glimmer
• Enhancement Core
• Raid Banner
• Strange Gift (Random Item for 1 Strange Coin)

Xur's Exotic Weapons

Year 7's Xur revamp has also added the ability to offer multiple exotic weapons in one visit. Here is what Xur has this weekend:

Hawkmoon - Hand Cannon

• Paracausal Shot - Final blows and precision hits with Hawkmoon grant stacks of Paracausal Charge. The final round in the magazine deals bonus damage based on the number of stacks. Stowing Hawkmoon on the final round removes this bonus.
• Corkscrew Rifling
• Alloy Magazine
• Rangefinder
• Polymer Grip

Hard Light - Auto Rifle

• Volatile Light - Rounds fired from this weapon have reduced damage falloff, overpenetrate targets, and ricochet off hard surfaces. Projectile damage increases after bounce.
• The Fundamentals - Holding reload changes this weapon's damage type, cycling between Void, Arc, and Solar. Grants this weapon temporarily increased damage when you apply or gain an elemental buff or debuff that matches this weapon's damage type.
• Polygonal Rifling
• Alloy Magazine
• Composite Stock

The Jade Rabbit - Scout Rifle

• The Fate of All Fools - Chain precision shots to gain bonus damage on your next body shot and return ammo to the mag.
• Zen Moment - Causing damage with this weapon reduces recoil and flinch over time.
• Polygonal Rifling
• High-Caliber Rounds

The Colony - Grenade Launcher

• Insectoid Robot Grenades - This weapon's grenades are insectoid robots that chase targets and explode close to them. Consumes tougher combatants to create additional robots.
• Serve the Colony - Insectoid robot grenades quickly repopulate the magazine from reserves while the Colony is unequipped.
• Linear Compensator
• High-Velocity Rounds
• Composite Stock
