Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. The next phase of Destiny 2's Season of Reclaimation is set to kick off next week, with the Ash & Iron update. To better prepare players, Bungie has announced an upcoming Destiny 2 livestream event that will be highlighting not only the Ash & Iron update with its new content, but also showcasing a preview of December's Renegades expansion as well.
In the meantime, Bungie has also been showcasing some of the major changes coming within the September 9 patch, while also walking back many of the controversial updates previously announced for Destiny 2. While activity timers have already been extended, Bungie plans to buff Portal rewards with increased drops, more chances to earn Prime engrams, increased drop rates, and more.
Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Activities, Challenges, and Rewards
The weekly reset for Destiny 2 is live and here are all of the new details including activity rotations, seasonal challenges, and much more.
As it stands now, though, the weekend merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of September 5, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no need to hunt for the merchant around the solar system anymore.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor
Starting with the Edge of Fate expansion, Xur's role in the Tower has expanded a bit. While Xur no longer carries legendary armor, the merchant has increased his exotic offering by selling two pieces of gear for each class each week. Xur's new Destiny 2 inventory can still be found at the Tower Bazaar.

- While you have a Stasis Super equipped, rapid Stasis final blows grant Frost Armor. You heal a small amount whenever you gain Frost Armor. Replaces your class ability with a burst of Stasis energy that freezes nearby combatants, slows nearby opponents, and grants you increased Frost Armor.
