The best Machine Guns in Destiny 2 received an updated ranking thanks to the debut of Episode: Heresy, providing players with a heavy weapon worthy of their trigger finger with Watchful Eye. Watchful Eye is a Destiny 2 Machine Gun that complements Arc builds well, thanks to its perks, Aggressive Frame, and 600 RPM.
Destiny 2: Weapons to Farm for in Episode Heresy
There are some weapons in Destiny 2's Episode: Heresy that players should definitely farm for so that they have the best endgame weapons possible.
It’s going to be important for players to obtain the Watchful Eye God Roll in Destiny 2 so that they can jump into endgame activities with a Machine Gun that doesn’t take up their Exotic slot, for the Watchful Eye power weapon can be used almost like a Thunderlord-lite gun, so here’s how to get it.
How to Get Watchful Eye in Destiny 2
Watchful Eye is an Arc Machine Gun that drops exclusively from Episode: Heresy Activities. If players want to get a Watchful Eye roll, then they will need to play either Court of Blades or The Nether, both of which are Heresy Activities that players can launch from The Last City in the Directory. The easiest Activity to run for multiple potential rolls will be The Nether, as players can find plenty of chests and receive a total of 3 encounter chests that could be Watchful Eye. If players want Watchful Eye (Adept), which is simply a shiny variant with the potential for double perk rolls, players can grab one from Expert versions of The Nether and Court of Blades.
If players want to get a guaranteed drop of Watchful Eye to try and get the God Roll, then they can enter their inventory and head to the Tome of Want. Players can then spend 100 Sigil Shards on the second column’s Ritual Rites to equip a Crumbling Scripture: Machine Guns, and then activate the Tome of Want with around 5 Essence of Desire. Activating the Tome of Want with this Ritual Rite will provide a guaranteed Watchful Eye for killing Guardians, powerful combatants, and completing Episode Activities.

- The PvE God Roll Perks for Watchful Eye are: Overflow & Jolting Feedback
Perk 1 for Watchful Eye isn’t a make-or-break, but it’s recommended that players use Overflow. Overflow will allow players to pick up Heavy Ammo, which will then automatically overload the weapon to have more ammo in its capacity than normal, which means more bullets per magazine. Alternatively, players can go for Field Prep, which provides more ammo reserves, along with faster reload, stow, and ready, all while crouching.
Perk 2 is the most important aspect of Watchful Eye, and in that case, players are going to want Jolting Feedback. Jolting Feedback allows players to deal repeated damage to enemies to inflict Jolt, which is an Arc debuff attributed to enemies that will provide tick-based damage as long as sustained fire remains. Alternatively, Rolling Storm is great for Perk 2 as it provides Bolt Charge with final blows, which is great for ad-clearing when not strictly using Arc.
