Destiny: Rising is a gacha game, and like every game of its kind, it has a Pity System. This special bonus can help players draw the Guardians they are aiming for if they are constantly burdened by bad luck on their tries.
After failing time and time again, the RNG becomes the players' worst enemy. More so if they are going Free-to-play, since they have less chances to draw and consequently, every failed try becomes increasingly frustrating. Learn everything about Destiny: Rising's Pity System and how it works with this guide.
Destiny: Rising Draw System Explained
The Draw (or Summon) System in Destiny: Rising works like most of the Gacha Games in the market. Players have two types of Currencies to invest, and two types of Tokens or Coins to make each pull. The main currencies are Lumia Leaves and Silver Dust, and the main difference between them is that the former can be obtained by completing Challenges, Objectives, and Missions in the game, while the latter is only available through purchase.
Now, for the actual Gacha Tokens, players will have Bon Voyage Charms and Bon Voyage Charms L.E. Both of these can be obtained in various ways, but the first Charms can be used for the Regular Banners, while for the Special Banners, players will need the L.E. Charms. In terms of Lumina Leaves/Silver Dust, each draw costs 180, while a multi-draw costs 1800 in total. The cost for both the General Banner and Special Banner pulls is the same. Of course, there are special occasions when there are discounts, and players will be able to draw 10 for the price of 8.
Mythic Characters (5-Star) are the ones with the highest potential, while Legendary Characters (4-Star) are also okay, but have less utility in the end-game.
How Does the Pity System Work in Destiny: Rising?
The Pity System in Destiny: Rising works in favor of players the more draws they take from the Gacha, and adds an escalating chance to draw the desired Mythical Characters while also guaranteeing them at certain points; in other words, a rate-up. Here's an overview of how it works:
- Basic Pulls have a 1% Chance of a Mythical in both Special and General Banners.
- After 20 Pulls, players will have a slightly superior chance to pull featured Lightbearers (1.5%)
- Once players have reached the 30 Pulls, the chances increase significantly (1.8% rounded up to 2%)
- From 40 Pulls (and forward), chances for a Mythical Character increase to 2.5%.
- The 60th Pull is a guaranteed Featured Character or Mythical Character, depending on the Banner.
Players will notice that the countdown starts at 60, and at some point after pulling 10, it will say 'Guaranteed in 50.' If players have pulled a Mythical at any point from there, the countdown will reset. So, in general terms, it is similar to other pity systems from popular gachas.
Among all the things that can be pulled from the General Banner, there are lots of Cosmetics, Utility Items like Bright Pigment, Enhancement Prism, and Bright Dust, and of course, Legendary (4-Star) Characters that can also be included in the draws.
