With the release of Devil May Cry 5 just over a month away, official details about the game should pick up very soon while unofficial news is starting to sneak out. This week, the trophy list was revealed, and its contents should answer a few questions for fans while prompting a few more. The list does include a few spoilers, though, so be warned before reading.
In total, Devil May Cry 5 is set to include 49 trophies (1 is platinum, 3 gold, 5 silver, and 40 bronze) for players to collect. Many of them fit into the usual category of completing a mission or getting a certain rank, but a few offer details about the game's length and content.

Dedicated gamers will also be able to get trophies for beating each chapter on S Rank, though this isn't a task for the faint of heart. Additionally, there are a number of difficulty levels in the game, including one called Heaven or Hell that is sure to bring the challenge.
The game is treading into unique territory for the series, introducing the option for gamers to purchase character upgrades via microtransactions. While the upgrades could otherwise be unlocked through gameplay, purchasing in-game orbs will allow players to save time. In a best case scenario, the game can still be played without Odyssey-esque amounts of grinding. In a worst case scenario, the already infamously difficult gameplay may force players to spend money just to get by.
Only time will tell what the 20 chapters of Devil May Cry 5 will reveal, but at least with the trophies being listed fans have a more general idea of what to expect.
Devil May Cry 5 will release on March 8, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
