John Lithgow Has Teased His Return In Dexter: Resurrection

Arthur 'Trinity' Mitchell is often considered to be the greatest villain in the history of Dexter, with Lithgow managing to make him feel extremely ordinary and utterly terrifying at the same time. He was Dexter Morgan's adversary for the show's fourth season, which brought a high standard for the series. However, by the end of that season, Dexter manages to overcome Trinity and murders him, but the show has consistently proven over the years that characters who are dead can return. Lithgow, who was recently cast as Albus Dumbledore in HBO's Harry Potter series, confirmed that he is returning in Dexter: Resurrection for a small cameo and went back and filmed for a day.

He didn't give away too much information about what audiences can expect to see from the Trinity Killer, but he revealed that he will be acting as a phantom who is there when Dexter wakes up and comes back to life in the hospital after the impact of his last on-screen appearance.
