Diablo 2: Resurrected brings the experience of one of Blizzard's best titles back to players filled with glorious updates. While old hands debate about which class in Resurrected is best, new players learn the game for the first time, mastering its hordes of enemies and mazelike levels.

There are five Acts in Diablo 2: Resurrected, and the game is split between them, with several quests in each Act. Despite being the penultimate chapter of the game, Act Four is the shortest, with the fewest areas and quests, but that doesn't make it a cakewalk. One quest tasks players with finding the Hellforge, so here's how to do that.

Why the Hellforge

Out of all the Acts in Diablo 2: Resurrected, Act Four can arguably put players through the ringer the most if they try to tackle the whole thing in one go. Storywise, it builds up to the battle with Diablo himself, but before that players must ensure Mephisto, the boss of the previous Act, can never rise again. To do so, they must shatter his Soulstone on the Hellforge.

Finding the River of Flame

The quest to find the Hellforge is the second one in Act Four, after defeating the fallen angel Izual. Players must find the River of Flame, which is the actual area that houses the Hellforge. It's underneath the City of the Damned, which is past the Plains of Despair where the previous quest took place. The enemies are tough, so changing Diablo 2's difficulty might be called for. Either way, players should attempt to reach the center of the city. Around there they will find a Waypoint back to town and a stairway down to the River.

Now for the tricky part. The River of Flame is difficult to navigate, and finding the Hellforge itself is tricky. Other locations like the Spider Cavern are hard to find because of randomized map layout, but here the map itself is hard to read in addition to being randomized. Players must carefully explore all branching paths into the river: one of these will lead to the Hellforge.

Confronting the Hellforge

Unfortunately, finding the Hellforge is not where the quest ends. Much like finding Tal Rasha's Tomb, the hardest part is still to come. Players must battle hordes of enemies under the command of Hephasto, as well as the boss himself. Hephasto is a melee powerhouse, but once he's defeated, players can take his hammer, place the Soulstone on the Forge, and smash the Soulstone for good.
