According to information datamined from the upcoming Diablo 4 patch 2.4.2, December 12 could be the date the next expansion is revealed. Found within the data for the update is an image that says "See you on 12/12" in Simplified Chinese, suggesting that something important will be revealed on that date. After the Diablo 4 devs heavily implied that the next expansion would be revealed in late-November or early-December, this leak provides even more proof that fans will be getting their first look at the next major content update following the end of Season 10.
The Game Awards Seems Like the Ideal Place to Announce Diablo 4 Expansion 2
It doesn't seem like a coincidence that this 12/12 date lines up with The Game Awards 2025's December 11 air date. Diablo 4 has a history with The Game Awards, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the game show up at TGA again for an announcement of this size.
