The healing wells in Diablo 4 currently serve to refill a player's health bar, primary resource, and potion count, but a small change may make them even more convenient. Though the latest Blizzard title has been an immensely fun experience, Diablo 4 is missing several quality-of-life features that players are hoping get added soon. Gem bags, a more customizable user interface, better itemization, and a less punishing version of level scaling are some of the most common suggestions put forward by the community.

As Blizzard sets the stage for Diablo 4's inaugural season, the developers keep getting flooded by a sea of valuable feedback. To address the community's biggest concerns, Diablo 4 scheduled its first Campfire Chat for June 16. Though it is unlikely that the game will implement all the features that fans have been demanding since launch, the chance for Diablo 4's developers to explain the future direction of the game will do much to alleviate the community's anxiety.

The latest quality-of-life change has been suggested by -Nok on the official Diablo subreddit, and it concerns the game's healing wells. Whereas Diablo 4 classes such as Sorcerers have passive regeneration on Mana, Druids and Barbarians don't enjoy the same luxury. Though healing wells will fill up their Resource if Health isn't full, as it stands, Barbarian and Druid players would need to deliberately damage themselves in order to drink from the healing well to replenish their Fury or Spirit. It could be argued that removing this restriction will help certain classes get that extra boost while doing Nightmare Dungeons without changing the purpose of a healing well.

An alternative suggestion involves splitting the well into a Health and Resource version akin to Diablo 2, but given the way potions work in Diablo 4, running into an "energy well" would feel extremely lackluster. A similar gripe that Diablo 4 players have is related to the Greed Shrine, as its gold bonus is too small to make a difference, and it doesn't provide the powerful combat boons of other shrines.

Ultimately, many fans would agree that Diablo 4 is a much better game at launch compared to its predecessor. Despite its shortcomings, it has a solid foundation, backed by a decade of lessons learned from Diablo 3. Its open world is a love letter to the world of Sanctuary, and it will only continue to grow through Diablo 4's expansions. As a live service title, players may well get the changes they want sooner rather than later.

Diablo 4 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
