Diablo 4 Season 5 adds lots of new post-game content for players to complete to earn Mother's Gifts and earn the seasonal rewards from them. One new activity found throughout the map is Hellbreaches, which are short dungeons that have added choice to each run.

Hellbreaches can be done as many times as you'd like, and offer great rewards for those willing to take on the more difficult challenges. Here's how to find Hellbreaches on the map and what to do inside to maximize your rewards.

How To Find Hellbreaches In Diablo 4

A Hellbreach On The Map

Hellbreaches appear in set locations throughout the world, and their icon is that of a usual dungeon with the additional green seasonal leaf icon. While zoomed out, these icons will appear only as a green dot. There are three Hellbreaches in the game, and can be found in the following regions:

  • Deep Forest, Scosglen
  • Gae Kul, Kehjistan
  • Chambatar Ridge, Dry Steppes

How To Complete Hellbreaches In Diablo 4

Once inside, Hellbreaches are broken up into three sections. The first section will have a goal, such as defeating a specific enemy, and will reward players with Burning Aether. After completing the goal of the first section, you'll have to choose a challenge to add to the second section, but will also be rewarded with additional Burning Aether depending on the challenge you choose.

One challenge must be picked in order to move forward.

The second section will play out mostly the same, with another goal usually the same as the first, with the addition of whatever challenge you picked. The third section will usually be a boss fight, and before entering you'll need to choose how strong the boss will be. You'll only have one chance to fight the boss and can do so against the boss' base stats or one that does increased damage, for much more Burning Aether, though this will require a strong build and gear.

Spending Burning Aether & Hellbreach Rewards

The Spoils Of Hell II Chest In A Hellbreach

At the end of the Hellbreach, you'll be able to spend your Burning Aethers on one of three chests. The Spoils of Hell II chest will be the most expensive and also has the best rewards. This chest will require the maximum amount of Burning Aethers, and can only be opened if you take on the hardest challenges of the Hellbreach and survive, much like the rewards for difficult Nightmare Dungeons. Your Burning Aethers can and should be spent however you want, as after you leave the Hellbreach those Burning Aethers will go away, and only exist within that run of a Hellbreach.
