Recent changes to Diablo 4, from the latest Season of Witchcraft to the recent release of the Vessel of Hatred DLC, brought several new items into the game, which in turn changed the meta. As a result of this meta change, the Heir of Perdition Mythic Unique has become one of the most sought-after late-game items - but why? And how can players get their hands on one?
This item has become so heavily used due to its Movement Speed, and ranks to Core Skills - both valuable stats in Diablo 4. In order to get their own, players will need to either target farm or craft this item, and it is no easy task. Keep reading for crafting recipes for the Heir of Perdition, target farming instructions, and a list of popular builds that use the item.

The Heir Of Perdition
The Heir of Perdition was added during Diablo 4's Season of Hatred. Most of the stats granted by the Heir of Perdition are fairly straightforward, with the exception of its unique passive. Mother's Favor is a buff that gives the player an additional 60% damage while wearing the Helm. Then, this bonus has a chance to multiply while clearing large groups of enemies while other players are around. This means the Heir of Perdition becomes especially useful in endgame activities where other players congregate, such as Infernal Hordes in a party, Helltides, or the Dark Citadel.

Where To Get The Heir Of Perdition
As a Mythic Unique, the Heir of Perdition can be obtained in three major ways. It can be:
- Target farmed from Endgame Bosses
- Crafted using Runewords & Resplendent Sparks
- Gambled From The Purveyor of Curiosities
Crafting is by far the most reliable way for players to get their hands on this item, and gambling is the least.
How To Target Farm Mythic Uniques
Target Farming Mythic Uniques is best done by repeatedly summoning pinnacle bosses such as Duriel, Lord of Maggots, and Andariel, Maiden of Chains. These two bosses have the highest chance of dropping powerful gear when defeated, although farming their summoning materials is a task in itself. Additionally, drops are nowhere near guaranteed - it takes an average of 100 runs to receive a single Mythic Unique.
For this reason, many players choose to farm some materials themselves, and then join a party of players using the Looking For Group function in the Social Tab. This allows them to pool summoning materials with three other players for more overall runs.
How To Craft Mythic Uniques
Crafting Mythic Uniques in contrast is much more reliable than farming. For one, players can decide which Mythic Unique to craft, completely removing the risk of getting an item they cannot use. For another, the clear crafting recipe gives many players a sense of purpose in their farming and feels less hopeless.
Crafting the Heir of Perdition requires a host of materials, primarily Runewords and Resplendant Sparks. Runewords can best be farmed from Kurast Undercity with a Tribute that boosts Rune drops, while Resplendant Sparks are best farmed by completing the Season's Renown Questline and defeating Uber Lilith. The specific recipe is as follows:
- 6x Gar Runes of Invocation
- 6x Que Runes of Invocation
- 6x Jah Runes of Invocation
- 2x Respendant Sparks
- 50,000,000 Gold
Once the player has the materials, they must be at least level 60 on their current character, have beaten the campaign, and speak with the Alchemist. Here, go to the Transmutation Tab, and select Mythic Uniques to expand the list. Select the Heir of Perdition, and hit Craft.

Builds That Use The Heir Of Perdition
Many of the game's best endgame builds now utilize this item, from long-term favorites to hot new commodities. Here are some of the most popular:
- HoT Barbarian
- Rend Barbarian
- Incinerate Sorcerer
- Ice Shards Sorcerer
- Firewall Sorcerer
- Infinimist Necromancer
- Blood Wave Necromancer
- Bone Spirit Necromancer
- Flurry Rogue
- Twisting Blades Rogue
- Pulverize Druid
- Shred Druid
- Stinger Centipede Spiritborn
Observant players will notice that every class in the game shows up on this list multiple times except for the Spiritborn. This is because Harlequinn Crest and Harmony of Ebewaka have such a chokehold on the Spiritborn meta.
