Barbarians take matters into their own hands and will use any melee weapon there is in their power to beat the armies of Hell in Diablo 4. That said, there are some Barbs out there who will use their weapons in a way that is more akin to a scene from your favorite fantasy film. Using their weapon, they will tear into the ground and throw all the resulting debris at their enemies. These are the Upheaval Barbarians.
These Upheaval Barbarians might not be as popular as their Bash or Whirlwind counterparts, but they do have one Unique item that will boost their Upheaval skill and burn everything they come across. That Unique is the Hellhammer, and today's guide will shed light on the many ways you can farm it across Sanctuary's most dangerous places in Diablo 4.

How to Get Hellhammer Unique in Diablo 4
You can start farming for the Hellhammer Unique in Diablo 4 by reaching World Tier 3 or World Tier 4 and opening chests or defeating enemies across the regions of Sanctuary. Your best shot at getting the Hellhammer this way is to participate in endgame content and World Events like facing World Bosses, Gathering Legions, and Helltides. You can also use Nightmare Sigils to run Nightmare Dungeons for a chance to get Unique items.
If you want to focus your farming efforts, then you can face Uber Bosses for a chance to get the Unique from their loot pool in Diablo 4. In the case of the Hellhammer Unique, your Barbarians will have to face The Beast in the Ice in Glacial Fissure, Fractured Peaks. This boss is only available in WT4 and has two different variants: the base one and the Tormented one. The Tormented one is significantly more difficult but provides better drop chances. Hellhammer Unique Effect & Affixes in Diablo 4
If you get and equip the Hellhammer Unique, your Barbarian's Upheaval skill will ignite the ground and burn your enemies, dealing 225 to 375 additional damage over 4 seconds. This additional damage will increase by 10% for every 100 Strength your Barbarian has. You will also receive the following effects from the Hellhammer's Affixes:
- +[52.0 - 70.0]% Upheaval Size
- +[4 - 6] to Upheaval
- +[2 - 4] to Wallop
- +[252 - 360] Strength
