Diablo 4's open world is divided into five different regions. Even when focusing on the main story, the entire world opens up quickly into the game, letting players go wherever they want and complete various activities to level up.

No matter where you go, the region will scale to your current level based on your current World Tier. Renown can be earned whenever you are inside of a region and is how players will increase their potion carry capacity. Here's how to get Renown fast in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4: All The Mother's Gifts Rewards

The Mother's Gifts are the seasonal rewards players can get in Diablo 4 Season 5; here's what each rank gives.

How To Get & Use Renown In Diablo 4

There are six ways to earn renown, with each method having a set amount of renown earned each time it is done:

  • Activating waypoints - 20 Renown
  • Clearing Strongholds - 100 Renown
  • Completing a Side Quest - 30 Renown
  • Discovering an area - 5 Renown
  • Completing a side dungeon - 40 Renown
  • Activating an Altar of Lilith - 10 Renown

Renown in a region will continue to add up and won't go away, unlocking rewards after reaching specific benchmarks in each region. Renown is earned based on the region the above activity takes place in. To check your Renown totals in any region, open the map and select the, "View Rewards" option along the top right of the screen. The following screen will show each region's current Renown Total and will let you claim rewards if they have been earned. The final two Renown ranks can only be earned by unlocking and playing on World Tier 3.

How To Get Renown Fast In Diablo 4

The first thing you need to do is make sure you have a horse to make travel easier. In each region, your first goal should be to complete the three Strongholds in each region, giving 300 Renown in each region. Next, travel to cities and settlements and open the map to look for side quest icons, which will only appear if you check the map while in town. You can accept many side quests at once before going out to complete them all and return to turn them all in and earn your Renown.

Another fast way to earn Renown is by getting on your horse and riding around to unexplored sections of the map. While discovering new regions doesn't earn much Renown on its own, you're really looking for Waypoints and Altars of Lilith. While this method seems based on chance, it can be very efficient in the early ranks, and help you discover the entire map to know where all the side dungeons you need to complete last are.
