Blizzard recently unveiled the 2.2.3 Update for Diablo 4, which fixes some issues that the game and its Vessel of Hatred DLC were still reporting. The patch is already available for gamers who play on PC, and it will be automatically downloaded when gamers log in to Diablo 4.
Released in 2023, Diablo 4 has had multiple seasons so far, with each one tweaking the game in different ways to keep it fresh. Diablo 4 is currently in Season 8, called Belial’s Return. The season brought some interesting new mechanics, such as Boss Powers, tweaked endgame content called Lair Bosses, new items, and much more.

Now, Blizzard has released the 2.2.3 Update, which is a small patch that mostly focuses on fixing problems found in the action RPG. 12 fixes were made to the base game, including solving problems with the corpse of the Speaker of Fel Flames spawning outside the designated area, Lair Boss quests being given to players too early, Ensembles in the Wardrobe not saving properly, and more. The patch also fixed two issues with Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, correcting a problem in which Spiritborn's Armored Hide Resolve Generation time could reach negative values, and another one in which a text was missing.
Apart from this update, Blizzard recently started the second anniversary event for Diablo 4, which will last until June 17. During the event, gamers will get an additional Gift of the Tree cache when turning in Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers. Also, they will get the Mother’s Blessing, which provides a 35% boost to experience and 50% to gold drops, making this an excellent time to play Diablo 4 and grind for higher levels.
Season 8 has not ended yet, but leaks about Diablo 4’s Season 9 are already starting to surface. Earlier this week, a leak indicated that three pets will appear in Diablo 4's Season 9, including a free brown and white goat, as well as a hellish goat and a hellhound with red eyes. However, the two later pets will only be achievable via the Premium Pass Reliquary.
According to Diablo 4’s roadmap, there’s still a lot to come in 2025. Seasons 9 and 10 will soon follow, and as usual, gamers can expect more updates and fixes soon. Unfortunately, there will be no major expansion until at least 2026, but Blizzard is at least constantly iterating on Diablo 4 to improve the overall experience.
