Although Diablo 4 has always required players to create a new character every season, players are highly encouraged to create multiple new seasonal characters during Diablo 4 Season 4. Thanks to the rewards offered by completing the Loot Reborn season's seasonal quests and ranking up their reputation with the Iron Wolves, players can earn a Resplendent Spark for their character. Diablo 4 players who obtain four Resplendent Sparks — along with 50 million gold — can spend these resources to craft the Uber Unique of their choice at the Occultist. Since Uber Uniques typically require players to farm Uber bosses like Lilith and Duriel repeatedly for a chance to find one, having a guaranteed way to obtain one of the most powerful pieces of gear in Diablo 4 is a welcome alternative.
Typically, Resplendent Sparks are acquired through:
- Defeating a Tormented Echo boss for the first time in a given season
- Defeating Uber Lilith for the first time on World Tier 4
- Salvaging any other Uber Unique
This design is intended for Resplendent Sparks to be treated like a pity reward for players who fail to find the specific Uber Unique they are farming for. Since Uber Uniques are nearly impossible to find outside of defeating Uber bosses, it stands to reason that Resplendent Sparks would only be obtainable by the same methods as Uber Uniques. However, Diablo 4 Season 4 made one addition to the game that makes earning a Resplendent Spark fairly easy, if players know how to do it.
How to Utilize Multiple Characters to Craft a Free Uber Unique
The main seasonal questline of Diablo 4 Season 4 has players earn Wolf's Honor with the Iron Wolves by battling their way through Helltides. As they earn Wolf's Honor, players' reputation will rank up with the Iron Wolves and earn increasingly useful rewards, with a Resplendent Spark on offer for those who reach Rank 18. While it may take some time to reach this rank, the more densely populated Helltides should help shorten some of the time necessary to reach this reputation rank.
The key to getting a free Uber Unique during Diablo 4 Season 4 is by creating four separate seasonal characters and reaching Rank 18 reputation with all of them. Doing so will result in a total of four Resplendent Sparks that can then be transferred between characters on the same realm via the player's Stash, allowing one of the player's seasonal characters to bring all four Resplendent Sparks along with the required gold to the Occultist to craft their Uber Unique. While this system might seem like a bit of an exploit, it has received the blessing of Diablo 4's development team, so players should take advantage of this method while Diablo 4 Season 4 lasts.
