Diablo 4 Season 10 has a new batch of Uniques for players to craft their builds around, and the introduction of Chaos Armor expands the build potential even further. With a few classes emerging as top-tier threats in the Diablo 4 Season 10 meta, it's clear that this season's new Uniques are primed to have a huge impact on endgame builds. However, one potential S-Tier class may not get much mileage out of its new Unique, especially compared to how crucial its Season 9 Unique was.

Some of the classes to watch in Diablo 4 Season 10 include the Sorcerer and the Druid, largely due to the new Uniques they get access to in the upcoming season. The Sorcerer's new Galvanic Azurite Unique Ring should spark some new life in the class's Lightning builds, and the Druid's Kilt of Blackwing has the potential to make the Companion Druid a top-tier build. However, Diablo 4's Spiritborn is expected to be another top meta pick, but it won't get much support from the new Hesha e Kesungi Unique Gloves.

Diablo 4 Season 10's New Spiritborn Unique May Not Live Up to Season 9's Balazan's Maxtlatl

Diablo 4 Best Spiritborn Builds

Balazan's Maxtlatl Unique Pants Defined the Diablo 4 Season 9 Meta

The star of Diablo 4 Season 9 was the Spiritborn thanks to its incredible Balazan's Maxtlatl Unique Pants which allowed the class to gain increased damage output from Thorns and Poisoning. This allowed several types of Spiritborn builds to thrive with support from these additional damage sources, making the class the most versatile among Season 9 options.

  • Balazan's Maxtlatl
    • +[309-430] Thorns
    • +[489-526] Maximum Life
    • +[107-121] Dexterity
    • +[2-3] to Bastion
    • Unique Affix: Each attack damages Close enemies for [100 - 150]% of your Thorns and also deals 0% of this damage as Poisoning over 3 seconds. Each time you've retaliated with Thorns, for 5 seconds the Poisoning damage is increased by 0%, up to 0%.

What makes this Unique so useful is the fact that it's Unique Affix is triggered by the Spiritborn's attacks, rather than its hits, meaning players can still damage Close enemies without actually having to hit a specific target. Triggering in this way allows the Spiritborn to stack Poisoning on enemies quickly without having to rely on a skill like Quill Volley that hits multiple times per one attack. As such, Balazan's Maxtlaxtl elevated nearly all Spiritborn builds during Season 9, which makes the bar for Season 10's new Unique to clear incredibly high.

Season 10's Hesha e Kesungi Likely Won't Move the Needle Much

The utility of Balazan's Maxtlatl stands in stark contrast to the Spiritborn's new Season 10 Unique, the Hesha e Kesungi Gloves, which look to fill a very underutilized niche for the class. While the Hesha e Kesungi Unique Gloves offer the Spiritborn's Gorilla Skills a nice boost, the class has never really excelled with Gorilla builds.

  • Hesha e Kesungi
    • +[3-5] to Gorilla Skills
    • +[10.5-15.0]% Attack Speed
    • [15.5-20.0]% Ultimate Cooldown Reduction
    • +[46.5-60.0]% Vulnerable Damage
    • Unique Affix: The Protector can be invoked at range and Pulls inward with its smashes. Enemies in its area take [30-50]%[x] increased damage from your Gorilla Skills, doubled while they are Knocked Down or a Boss.

Where the Hesha e Kesungi thrives is on a Crushing Hand Spiritborn build, since this Core Skill can benefit from the ranks to Gorilla Skills and the bonus damage dealt to enemies caught in range of The Protector. However, The Protector isn't as good of a Spiritborn Ultimate as The Hunter, so this Unique will have pretty limited utility compared to Balazan's Maxtlatl. Even with a mediorce new Unique in Season 10, the Spiritborn will still be a meta class in Diablo 4 Season 10, largely because Balazan's Maxtlatl can still make a huge impact in the upcoming season.
