As Diablo 4 Season 10 approaches, Blizzard is keeping at least one major detail about the season under wraps. While the Diablo 4 Season 10 PTR has given players a glimpse at what to expect from the season's new Chaos Perks and Chaos Armor, there are some aspects that PTR players weren't shown. The upcoming season is set to receive another IP collab, but nothing about what players can expect from this crossover has been revealed yet, leaving fans in the dark about a key piece of the Season 10 puzzle.
There have only been two major crossovers for Diablo 4 in the two-plus years since its release: a collab with another Blizzard IP, World of Warcraft, back in August 2024, and most recently, with Berserk in May 2025. The IPs chosen for these crossovers are very different, making it hard to anticipate which IP Diablo 4 will collab with in Season 10. However, announcing this season's collab as soon as possible would go a long way toward drumming up excitement for Infernal Chaos, especially with players flocking back to Diablo 4's competitors like Path of Exile 2.
Diablo 4 Season 10's New IP Collab Could Be the Cherry on Top
There is already mounting hype for Diablo 4 Season 10 within the community due to the renewed buildcrafting potential that Chaos Armor brings. Diablo 4 has been in desperate need of a shake-up to its buildcrafting, which had grown somewhat stale over the past 9 seasons. While players who are dialed into Diablo 4's meta build scene are likely already sold on the new Season 10 content, the upcoming IP collab has the chance to bring a broader section of the fanbase into the fold.
Diablo 4 Can Redeem an Underwhelming Berserk Crossover
This Season 10 IP collab carries a heavy weight on its shoulders after the Diablo 4 x Berserk collab soured some players' perception of these crossovers. The Berserk collab offered players the chance to earn select free cosmetics, as well as offering paid cosmetic armor bundles between May 6 and June 3, 2025.
- Hawk Destiny Back Trophy (Free)
- Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor (Free)
- Brand of Sacrifice Character Marking (Free)
- Foretold Eclipse Headstone (Free)
- Berserker Barbarian Armor Set (Paid)
- Skull Knight Necromancer Armor Set (Paid)
- The Struggler Rogue Armor Set (Paid)
- Hawk of Light Rogue Armor Set (Paid)
- Chimimoryo Schnoz Pet (Paid)
- Warhorse of the Hawk Mount + Mount Armor Set (Paid)
While there was a solid number of free items on offer via the Berserk Reliquary, the real meat of this collab came from the premium armor sets. These paid Berserk cosmetics were subject to heavy criticism for their high price point, costing a whopping $150 for players purchasing every armor set, with the Schnoz Pet costing another $28 on its own. Diablo 4 has the chance to learn from the mistakes of the Berserk collab in Season 10 and offer players more of an incentive to participate, such as discounted cosmetic bundles and more free options.
The Sooner Diablo 4 Announces the Season 10 IP Collab, The Better
If Blizzard plans to avoid a repeat of Diablo 4's Berserk collab controversy, announcing the Season 10 IP collab along with the details surrounding it as soon as possible would be a wise decision. Diablo 4 is already stuck in limbo with a new expansion on the horizon, but competitors like Path of Exile 2 are offering exciting new content in the meantime. Offering more free options for participants in the new IP crossover event would be a great way to get players back into the game for Season 10, and confirming this direction before the season starts would give players ample time to prepare their builds to align with the cosmetics on offer.
