Diablo 4 has announced that Season 5, the Season of the Infernal Hordes, will kick off on August 6 at 10 am PT. With the announcement of the start date, Blizzard gave an overview of what Diablo 4 players can expect, such as new activities, rewards, and dangers waiting in Sanctuary.
Before Diablo 4's launch, Blizzard confirmed that the game would follow a seasonal model, with each season lasting a few months. It all started in July last year with the Season of the Malignant, Diablo 4's first season, with the second season coming in October of the same year. In January this year, it was Diablo 4's turn to release Season 3, with Season 4, one of the most praised by players so far, dropping in May. Now, the attention of Diablo 4 players is turning to the game's next chapter.
Diablo 4 Players Want Item Changes in Season 5
As Diablo 4 Season 4 draws to a close, players debate a change in items they would like to see in the next season of Blizzard's RPG.
Blizzard has announced that the fifth season of Diablo 4 will begin on August 6 at 10 am PT. Named Season of Infernal Hordes, one of the big additions is the new seasonal questline Of Lambs and Wolves, and the questline The Eyes of the Enemy, which will be available across Seasonal and Eternal Realms. Another addition is Diablo 4's new mode, Infernal Hordes, which will be available in both realms from World Tier 3. In this mode, players will have 60 seconds to battle waves of enemies, earning rewards by surviving the waves and defeating the Fell Council, a new group of five enemies made up of former members of the High Council of Zakarum.
Diablo 4 Season 5 Start Date
- Tuesday, August 6, from 10 am PT
Blizzard has confirmed that all Diablo 4's Unique items got updates, as the devs “wanted to make them special again,” but didn't share any further details about the anticipated rework. Diablo 4 revealed that it will add new Uniques and Legendaries, bringing more than 50 items that will be attainable in both realms beyond the season's end. A new battle pass will be released, with Diablo 4 players unlocking rewards including new Legendary Aspects, Favor, and three Amnesia Scrolls, which provide a free reset of the Skill Tree and Paragon Board.
While the announcement of Diablo 4 Season 5's start date is great news, players of Blizzard's RPG won't want to miss August 1. At 12 pm PDT, the devs will host a livestream sharing the patch notes with the changes to Diablo 4 in Season 5. With a new season on the horizon and the long-awaited first Diablo 4 expansion coming later this year, Blizzard continues to work to give players more reasons to stay engaged with the game.
