Diablo 4 has brought forth a series of updates that have improved the game over time, and the arrival of the Armory is a long-awaited feature finally coming with Season of Witchcraft. Since its 2023 launch, Diablo 4 has evolved with each season and update, and the new Armory is bound to greatly enhance the game's quality of life. Season of Witchcraft brings plenty of content, like new witchcraft powers, a raven pet, and a fresh story, but the Armory is one of the most significant upgrades coming with the season.

The good news doesn't just end with the Armory itself, though. Diablo 4's Armory is set to allow custom loadouts to be saved, making the experience even better for players. As the wait for Season 7 of Diablo 4 grows shorter each day, the promise of fresh content is exciting, but the Armory is bound to be the star of the update.

Path of Exile 2 Shows Diablo 4 Was Wise to Remove One D2 Feature

Path of Exile 2 is like Diablo 2 in a lot of ways, but it ultimately shows that Diablo 4 made a good move in getting rid of an annoying D2 feature.

Diablo 4's Brand-New Armory Brings Players a Much-Needed Quality of Life Feature

Features Confirmed For Diablo 4's Armory

  • Five loadout slots per character
  • Players can easily swap between saved builds.
  • Available in the Eternal and Seasonal Realms, even after Season of Witchcraft ends

There has been an outspoken number of players who have wished for the Armor for a long time. On Reddit, the excitement about the Armory's arrival is palpable, as it's served as a big point of discussion on some threads. User Frodokai writes, "It was a life-saver in Diablo 3." KrasyRed5 agreed, stating, "This was a nice addition to Diablo 3, and I'm glad to see them bring it to Diablo 4." Diablo 4 has been making big changes recently, and much of these updates have worked to improve the overall experience for many of the game's players.

According to Blizzard's official breakdown of Season of Witchcraft, switching between slots with different Paragon loadouts will not cost Gold.

The ability to seamlessly switch builds for one's character isn't just a simple addition, it's a huge upgrade for many who wish to change their experience effortlessly. Having five load slots for each character allows for a wide range of options that players can experiment with, making the excitement about its impending arrival palpable. Now that Diablo 4 has some stiff competition with Path of Exile 2, Blizzard's action RPG could use as many great features as possible in order to get the upper hand.

Diablo 4's seventh season, Season of Witchcraft, is scheduled to launch for players on January 21.

Diablo 4's Season of Witchcraft Continues a Strong Few Months

Following up the success of Season 6 with such a long-requested quality-of-life improvement is continuing a strong streak for Diablo 4. Season 6's content combined with the Vessel of Hatred DLC introducing a brand-new class with the Spiritborn helped the game end the year on a high note. Now, it appears that Diablo 4 is kicking off 2025 with a bang as well.

Saving a loadout will capture Equipped Items, Paragon Board and Glyphs, Skill Selections, and Class.

As Diablo 4 begins a fresh year, it will be intriguing to see what else Blizzard has planned for the action RPG. With Path of Exile 2 bringing the game its first significant competitor, Diablo 4 will want to make sure its updates are more rewarding from now on. Diablo 4 may have the benefit of being a more streamlined approach to the action RPG formula, but Path of Exile 2 has been a hit with a lot of more hardcore players. The rest of Diablo 4's year remains a mystery, but the arrival of the Armory bodes well for the title.
