Diablo Immortal has announced a new update that will be released on May 13. The upcoming Diablo Immortal update is the latest patch for the Prince of Freedom expansion, which dropped in April and brought a lot of new content to players.

Prince of Freedom is the second expansion announced by the Diablo Immortal roadmap, which revealed much of what players can expect from the mobile game in 2025. This particular update introduced new Unique items for the game's classes in the April update, along with more events to keep players engaged. On May 1, Blizzard launched the crossover between Diablo Immortal and Berserk, adding content based on the iconic manga by Kentaro Miura. Now, the developers have revealed what players can expect from the game next.

The next Diablo Immortal update has been revealed, which will be available on May 13 on the Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe servers, and on May 14 on the Americas servers. One of the main changes is the return of a series of events: Conqueror (May 15-May 22), All Clans on Deck (May 17-May 24), Wild Brawl (May 22-May 31), and Shields of the Hearth (May 24-May 31). Another event that is part of the update and can already be checked out is Matriarch's Retribution, which will be available until May 31 and gives away various rewards, including legendary gems for Diablo Immortal players.

As well as launching events to keep Diablo Immortal players committed throughout May, Blizzard has revealed updates to the game's features. More precisely, one of the changes will be to check a player's combat power before they enter one of Diablo Immortal's dungeons, preventing them from being grouped in a dungeon they can't play. With the upcoming update, players will be able to remove players from their party who are AFK or inactive, as well as those who are harassing or making inappropriate remarks. Spectral Allies can be summoned in Inferno Difficulty dungeons, Cain's Workshop will have an additional Horadric Altar, and Family Expeditions can be canceled early.

Blizzard plans to release content from the Prince of Freedom expansion by June, with the next Diablo Immortal expansion dropping in July. Named Flesh Harvest, its full content has not been fully revealed, though players already know that it will see the addition of a new quest, class, the new Sharval Wilds zone, and the summer event. In October, the expansion First and Last King will be released, with expected content like another new quest and zone.

  • Matriarch’s Retribution
  • From now until May 31, 3 a.m. Local server time, eviscerate Hell’s demons across limited-time events to collect Skeletal Spoils which can be used to unlock fearsome rewards.
  • The following Returning Events can be bested to carve your way through Matriarch’s Retribution:
    • May 15—May 22, 3 a.m. Conqueror
    • May 17—May 24, 3 a.m. All Clans on Deck
    • May 22—May 31, 3 a.m. Wild Brawl
    • May 24—May 31, 3 a.m. Shields of the Hearth 8-Day Event

  • Battling in Matriarch’s Retribution can earn you the following rewards:
    • 2x Telluric Pearls
    • 2x Legendary Items
    • 4x Set Items
    • 10x 1-Star Legendary Gems
    • 800,000 Gold
    • 2,800 Scrap Materials
    • 240 Enchanted Dust
    • 28 Aspirant’s Keys
    • 16 Normal Gems

  • Feature Updates
  • Challenge Dungeon Combat Rating Changes
  • When entering a Challenge Dungeon, player Combat Rating will always be checked to prevent being grouped into a Dungeon you cannot play.

Developer’s Note: Previously, if you were matched in a Challenge Dungeon within a Zone, there was a chance you could be placed in a group you didn’t qualify for. This change should fix any instances where this would happen.

  • Dungeon Kick Feature Updates
  • You’ll now have the ability to kick other players from your party for the following reasons:
    • AFK or inactive behavior
    • Harassment or inappropriate remarks

  • Additionally, you cannot be kicked for being AFK if you’re doing the first or second highest most damage in the party. Also, you cannot be kicked for hateful or inappropriate remarks if you have not spoken in chat.
  • Spectral Allies in Inferno Difficulty
  • You can now summon Spectral Allies in Dungeons when in Inferno difficulty. Only the best allies would follow you into these lowest depths of hell.
  • Monster Essences at Castle Erebban
  • An additional Horadric Altar has been added into Cain's Workshop near the Gates for Abyssal Verge, Erebban and Vanguard.
  • Cancel Familiar Expeditions
  • You can now cancel Familiar Expeditions early. It’s ok, you missed them. We understand.
