In Digimon Story: Time Stranger, the Digi-Jewel is one of the hardest materials to obtain, and since they are required for various precious crafted items like DigiEggs and Tier 4 Equipment Gear, players are looking around in distress for more of this scarce resource.

Since the game doesn't explain where every material is dropped, players will have to try and fail before they can get the right spot for farming these items. However, knowing beforehand where these Digi-Jewels appear will help them progress through the story faster and with the ability to craft better items. Digi-Jewels are random drops from material containers and some special encounters in Digimon Story: Time Stranger. However, there are certain ways to farm them throughout the story if players know the exact spots where these tend to drop. Here are some of the locations where Digi-Jewel might appear when players loot material containers in the Digital World:

  • Central Town - Blimpmon Landing area; two containers can drop Digi-Jewel.
  • Central Town - Spiral Waterway (Sewers): There's one at the entrance and three more containers inside the Sewer dungeon)
  • Central Town - Downtown: Walk the path from Blimpmon's Landing to Warrior's Watering Hole (Tavern) and loot the containers there.
  • The Abyss - Depths: Loot the Oyster-like Material containers for a chance to get Digi-Jewels and Crystalline-Structure Model (another important crafting material).
  • Factorial Town - Locomon's Station: There are three Material boxes that players can loot here. Plus, it's an easy-to-restart area.
  • Cosmic Area - Chill Cosmic Crescent Moon Area: Looting the Ice Crystals has a greater chance to yield Digi-Jewels. On the downside, this is a late-game location.

Ideally, players would want to leave an area and re-enter to reset the Material Containers and get more chances to obtain Digi-Jewels when they interact with them. Players should repeat this as many times as possible to further increase their chances of getting these rare materials. On that note, Digi-Jewels are also sold for quite a lot at vendors, so if players have already crafted all the items that use Digi-Jewel as components, they can sell them for the hefty sum of 50K YEN.

Certain encounters, like GoldNumemon or PlatinumNumemon have a low chance to drop extra Mats, and Digi-Jewels are among the materials that can be dropped. However, these Random Encounters happen less frequently than looting boxes, making it a bad choice to farm Digi-Jewels.

Once players have enough Digi-Jewels, they can head back to Vulcanusmon or Guardromon (Gold) to craft items like the Digi-Egg of Miracles, required to evolve Veemon into the powerful Armor Evolution Magnamon. Players might have other uses for Digi-Jewels in the future, so try to farm as many as possible, as some areas of the game become locked throughout the adventure, and materials are harder and harder to get the more players progress.
