In Digimon Story: Time Stranger, players have various methods to move around the Real and Digital Worlds, and one of them is DigiRide. This system allows players to mount certain Digimon and gain increased move speed and immunity to Preemptive Strikes from enemies. This allows players to explore places faster and even move between areas, resetting them to farm Materials, Data, Money, and EXP.
So, if players are ready to move really fast in Digimon Story: Time Stranger, this guide will cover everything they should know about the DigiRide mechanic, and which Digimon ara available to use as Mounts in the game.
How to Unlock Mounts in Digimon Story: Time Stranger
As mentioned before, the DigiRide feature can be used with certain (not every) Digimon in the game. These need to be at least Champion or Armor Stage to be able to carry the players around, and not every Digimon in those categories can be used as mounts. But how do players access the ability to Mount their Digimon in Digimon Story: TIme Stranger? The game can be a little bit overwhelming for beginners, but the method to obtain the mount is pretty straightforward.
First, players will need to clear the first two stages of the game: The Tokyo Government Building and the Shinjuku Area, before finally accessing the Digital World through a portal and reaching the Central Town of Illiad. Once players have dealt with the introductory sequence and walked around Illiad's outskirts a little bit, they will be directed by the Digimon to talk to Merukimon, and they will see a message pop up in their DigiVice that indicates that the DigiRide feature is now enabled. Now players can activate it by pressing R (on PC) or R1/RB (on Consoles).
But players must have one of the DigiRide-enabled Digimon in their Party to be able to mount them. These are identifiable by a small symbol that appears next to their Level Indicator, that way players will know the Digimon is marked as a Mount. But these rideable Digimon need to be either on the First Row or the Reserve of the Party, otherwise players won't be able to activate the DigiRide Feature. Here are some of the available DigiMounts in the game:

Players will be able to choose whichever is their preferred partner to ride around the Digital World, but they should know that all Digimon have different collision and movement speeds. This might cause certain DigiRides to be unable to enter certain areas, while others can pass through without an issue, and of course, some Digimon move faster than others. It's up to the players to decide which one to pick to navigate each map.
